1. Dionysos is a French rock band formed in 1993 in Valence, Drôme. The band consists of five members known as Élisabeth Maistre a.k.a Babet, Guillaume Garidel a.k.a Guillermo, Mathias Malzieu, Michaël Ponton a.k.a Miky Biky and Éric Serra Tosio a.k.a Rico. Mathias is the main songwriter and fronts the band. Their latest studio album is La mécanique du cœur. Their first release, Happening Songs, was entirely in English, and Babet wasn't part of the band yet. In 1999, they released Haïku, which brought the band into the public eye, mainly thanks to the success of the single Coccinelle.
The name is based on the name of the ancient Greek god, Dionysus (Dionysos in French).
Almost all Dionysos songs evoke a surreal world, in part due to the influence of Tim Burton and Roald Dahl on the group. The song La métamorphose de Mister Chat tells the story of a ladys' man transformed into a cat, and the story of the group's biggest hit (Song for Jedi) is encapsulated in the English chorus, "When I was a child, I was a Jedi".
Babet is currently working at the same time on her own solo album (released on March 5, 2007), and career. The lead singer, Mathias Malzieu, is also working on other projects such as the career of Olivia Ruiz (his partner) and his other hobby, writing (he published three books in 2002, 2005 and 2007). His second book is based on the same world as the album Monsters in Love. The sixth member of the group, Stéphan Bertholio a.k.a Stéphano, was their backliner before playing with them during live tour, and working on the fifth album Monsters in Love.
2. Dionysos was a Canadian band formed in 1967 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Candy Lady
Dionysos Lyrics

Your lips it's like a bird
How wild is the strawberry
That substitutes your tongue
Es la suavidad
De tus besitos
Que da a mi boca
Candy Candy Candy Lady let me lick your feather
For ever and ever and never even if I ache my teeth
Deja deja deja me mi gattito
Deja me comer tus lavios
Ahora por la hora y manana
Hablaran los dios
How talented I will be
If I keep you close to me
The broken man like me
Is not used to be good for making families
El talento lo tendr? si llego a engatusarte
Si llego a serenarte sin apenarte
Candy Candy Candy Lady let me lick your feather
For ever and ever and never even if I ache my teeth
Deja deja deja me mi gattito
Deja me comer tus lavios
Ahora por la hora y manana
Oh my candy lady if you never believe me I'll may never believe
In me neither oh never believe in me my Candy Lady
In Dionysos's song Candy Lady, the singer is addressing a woman who he refers to as his Candy Lady. He describes the lady's lips as being like a bird and the strawberry that substitutes her tongue as being wild. He goes on to describe the smoothness of her kisses and how they taste like sugar in his mouth. The singer addresses the Candy Lady throughout the song with increasing levels of intimacy, expressing his desire to lick her feather and asking her to let him eat her lips. He speaks of his brokenness and lack of experience with making families but suggests that he could be talented if he is able to convince the Candy Lady to be with him. He ends the song by expressing his doubt in himself and his ability to be believed by her.
The lyrics of the song seem to be an ode to desire and the craving for intimacy. The Candy Lady can be seen as a representation of the singer's desire, and the description of her lips and tongue as being wild suggest that the singer is attracted to her wildness and unpredictability. The images of candy and sugar throughout the song are also suggestive of a desire for sweetness and pleasure. However, the singer also expresses a level of vulnerability and doubt in his ability to be loved and to make a family. The contrast between his desire for intimacy and his lack of experience with it suggests a complex and nuanced emotional landscape.
