Crisis
Dirt Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
In the first verse of Dirt's song Crisis, the singer is expressing a sense of frustration and disillusionment towards those in power. The crisis that they're facing is something that they should have seen coming and prepared for, yet they're acting surprised. The warning signs were there, but the ones in power chose to ignore them. The singer, along with many others, has grown tired of the lies and is refusing to accept them any longer.
The second verse continues the theme of the crisis being ignored. The ones in power claimed that they were preventing chaos, but in reality, their actions led to war and countless deaths. The singer questions why anyone would be okay with this and emphasizes that what they really want is anarchy, freedom, and peace, not the organized chaos that the government is providing. The singer believes that everyone has the right to their freedom of choice, and that shouldn't be dictated by the government's wrongs or rights.
In the final chorus, the singer demands that those in power wash the blood from their hands and allow the system to fight its own war. The people are tired of being subject to the laws and regulations imposed by the government, and they are ready for anarchy, freedom, and peace. The singer concludes the song by stating that they don't need the laws imposed by the government; instead, they will fight for the freedom they deserve.

Lies...lies are the biggest problem...like lies about climate change and CO2 being a threat. CO2 has never been as low as 475 ppm like it is right now...and these idiots want to reduce that? How are the world's forests and vegetation going to survive without CO2...their FOOD? The science never added up...because it's all driven by political ambition to fool people into accepting a global government...telling them that that's the only way to resolve the "crisis".
I'm gonna give you a few quotes that will give you an idea of where this all started and where it's all going.
" I believe that when the next world crisis happens, the world will accept a global government" David Rockefeller.
" Isn't the only hope for the planet that the industrialized nations collapse? Isn't it our responsibility to make sure that happens?" Maurice Strong U.N. chairman and co-creator of "Earth day".
" We needed a crisis to unite humanity...it could be a real one or one invented for the purpose...we chose climate change and the environment" from "The First Global Revolution" by King and Schneider/ Club of Rome (1992).
"You will own nothing , and you will be happy" Klaus Schwab chairman of the World Economic Forum.

As per UNCCD, 52% of the world’s soil is already degraded. Additionally, the United States has lost 50% of its topsoil, and soil degradation costs the country about $37.6 billion in productivity losses each year. In Canada the topsoil loss is estimated at 37%. Soil erosion costs Canadian farmers a staggering three billion dollars every year in crop yield loss. In Ontario, soil organic matter—a key determinant of soil health—is now decreasing on 82 percent of farmland. According to the Scientific American, a study on nutrients in food concluded that we would have to eat 8 oranges to get the same amount of Vitamin A as our grandparents did with one orange because soil depletion has caused massive drops in nutrient levels in food. In the US alone, soil degradation has led to an 87% loss of micronutrients in our food. This is a serious yet silent crisis unfolding under our feet with significant impact on this and future generations.
This is a worldwide issue that is projected to affect every country on earth before 2050, including Canada. From famine to water scarcity, the incoming ramifications of soil extinction are dire. Prairie provinces like Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba are particularly susceptible, and they account for 60% of agricultural land in Canada.
Soil degradation is a “meta-problem,” given that it is a root cause of not only food scarcity, but also water scarcity, biodiversity loss, and climate change. Experts warn that, at the current rates of soil degradation, 90% of earth's soil will be degraded by 2050.
So what's solution? The important thing is that a minimum of 3-6% organic content has to be there if we want to leave living soil for the coming generations. And the only way to increase organic content in the soil is by bringing the land under shade from vegetation & enriching the soil through plant litter and animal waste (which is the opposite of what we are doing right now). If we fix soil, we have the best chance of fixing the whole ecosystem (including Climate Change, Carbon Emissions, Air Pollution and Water Scarcity).
Save Soil is a global movement launched by Sadghuru, to address the soil crisis by bringing together people from around the world to stand up for Soil Health, and supporting leaders of all nations to institute national policies and actions toward increasing the organic content in cultivable Soil.

@Willie Clark simply
"i'm a farmer that has moved to 100% no till"
as if "no till" is protecting the land and soil
what you are really doing is pandering to the green lobby making yourself and agriculture look acceptable to the man made climate masses
lots of farmers like you do that all the time, so called 'protecting your image'
no waste of breath by me, a waste of breath by you and others like you
the green blob war is on agriculture too
I do not "argue" at all
farmers all over the world are being blamed for the so called collapse of 'eco systems' as the greenies see it

@Some Guy please read the word “generally” in front of my proclamations, I didn’t want to be redundant and this is a very complicated subject.
2. Zoonotic diseases occur in specific conditions, conditions that occur in industrial ag, not in regen ag. IE on pasture rather than enclosed small space.
3. Regen doesn’t give antibiotics because they’re not in conditions that require antibiotics.
4. Regenerative ag improves aquifer health and abundance by improving local precipitation long term and quickly Filtering water, creating a soil sponge that is drought resistant. Growing a food reliant on the one of the most resilient food crops, grass.
5. See 4
6. Regen ag plants trees.
8. Regen grazing increases biodiversity through its practices, it leaves land empty 95% of the time.
9. Is it welfare to not exist? This is a philosophical point that we can argue. I’d say it’s better to exist in an ideal environment, be killed prematurely to sustain and contribute to sustainability of the environment than to not exist at all.
10. Veganic ag is effective at climate change mitigation but has devastating externalities like higher chance soil collapse , or non resilience for human kind by relying on a smaller centralized area we’d intensively vegetable farm in light of likely devastating effects of climate change.
All your health proclamations are fine in general but not on the individual and could suffer from selection bias. Anyone that is going to go vegan will be concerned with diet, people that are concerned with diet will generally have better health outcomes.

I’m a farmer. It’s important to understand that we are all part of the same process in which we all have influence. What you want to eat, how and when you get your food etc all has powerful direct links to the production and processing of it. It’s an industrialised system that is out of balance. If we all find out about how food is produced and processed, what this means for our health, the soils and the environment, we can make decisions about our diets that can translate directly to managing soils in a way that gives better outcomes. It is actually very straightforward, it just needs us to learn some stuff and then step up to the plate.

Beeing from a West Europe country, if subsudies end... I swear that 70% of all agriculture businesses will end within 10 years, people working on agriculture are getting old and no one young wants to work on agriculture (me included beeing part of the problem), even if I did want to pick the family business of farming I would not find anyone to work here because we cannot pay high wages for work like this, if we do we go bankrupt

@Riorozen Thank you for understanding my point. I like how California is starting to push hydroponic produce, I tell my family to spread the word and buy it up (it's about the same price as organic).
Riorozen
@Jose Esquivias But it would have to follow market trends - like the current "green" trend that's sweeping the states.
However, when you subsidize industries, they don't have to follow the market. Shocking, I know...
Climate Change doesn't bargain

One of the way to protect soil is through multiple, continuous cover crops but some insurance companies refuse to insure farmers who do this.
Without insurance, farmers wishing to do covercropping are also denied government funding.
Some of these insurance companies are part of the corporate conglomerates the already get the overwhelming majority of funding for farmers...
Sandra Lewis
These conglomerates usually hold the mortgages on farmland, too. There is no downside to them of farms going bust. My grandfather never went to a bank with hat in hand to become indentured to the system. We still have his farmland in the family and can grow anything we wish.

@pudanielson1
Good cover crops increase farmers' soil fertility, decrease the need for irrigation, etc. That helps independent farmers.
It hurts the chem ag business, which often also owns the insurance companies...
Blame globalist elitists and the mega corporate conglomerates.
Permaculture developed under capitalism. China IA still doing a lot of bad ag, bad restoration etc, exactly because it is rigid...
