1. The Bulgarian DiS was formed in 2007 by rappers DenYo & Sensei.

2. Milwaukee's Dis began in 1992 and continued to make math rock til 1996. They released the album Small Fry Session 1&2 (in 1992) and M 386 .D57 1994 (in 1994). The band blew up in the studio during the sessions for "The Historically Troubled Third Album" making that record's title very appropriate.

3. The Japanese Visual Kei band was formed in summer 2006 and had the first live at Takadanobaba AREA where their first CD was distributed. The band consists of vocal 幻希 (genki), first guitarist 躯 (mukuro), second guitarist 百 (momo) and drummer 鈴音 (suzune). For more information please visit their official HOMEPAGE

4. Dis is a Dutch progressive Metal band from Utrecht. The music of the band can be described as progressive, symphonic metal with a characteristic violin sound. Because of a broad musical interest in the group, Dis often experiments with elements from different styles of music. Dis was founded in early 2000 by brothers Ben (violin, vocals) and Daniël Mathot (guitar). After a year of collaborating with several musicians the perfect drummer was found in Remco Menting in March 2001. His bass-playing brother Roel joined in September that year but decided to leave in October 2003. Tim Numan took his place in 2004.

5. DiS is a hip-hop side project of the Japanese alternative idol group BiS.

6. DIS from the USA is a one-man band by Aaron Schilling. The music can be described as high-speed progressive black/death metal. More info here.

7. DiS were the Christchurch-based trio of Justine Sharp, David Khan and Peter Wright. DiS de-emphasized the rock overtones and use of rhythm associated with their previous projects, in favour of dense, drifting soundscapes concerned with the nature of elemental force, metamorphosis & human ritual. @Orphan Eye I agree, much to the dismay of others. But, people like this who commit heinous crimes are very likely to reoffend. And if the victims don't get a 2nd chance at life, why do the people who take their lives?

Here in the US, some states don't have death row. And others allow monsters to sit in prison for 30+ YEARS before killing them.

If it's proven, without reasonable doubt, and there is ample evidence of a person (or people) being guilty they should be executed within 3 years.

Less cost for the public.
Less crime on the street.
Less likelihood of people committing crime, cause many people are far more afraid of dying than going to prison.

When I was in high school I read William Golding’s, ‘Lord of the Flies.” It disturbed me so much, I remember hating it because certain cruel scenes played in my head over and over. I swore to never read it again and comforted myself by thinking, “It’s only a story.” And it was, ofc, a brilliant novel that evoked thought and emotion. But I always thought that it would take something extreme to bring out such unrelatable behaviour.

Wow was I wrong… these boys feeding off the cruelty of each other are simply bestial. To actually go back and do more is staggering. The level of malice evident in these boys is worthy only of the most severe punishment. They do not belong in free society.

In school i read a book about two brothers in war, one disobeyed an order to leave his injured brother in battle cause he was beyond help..
He saved his brother but then gets executed by firing squad in front of him.

I'm so tired of hearing the criminals getting such light to no sentence at all. They brutally killed Michael & I believe understood. I say understood because the courts claim because of their ages they didn't/don't understand. That's not justice for the victims or families. Don't let anyone fool you. Their brains aren't anywhere near as "undeveloped" (or 'underdeveloped' or whatever other self-deceiving verbiage people want to use) as the bleeding hearts insinuate, but bleeding hearts are gonna bleeding heart and more people will inevitably get hurt because of it. The facts are: 1) These weren't "kids", these were young adults, 2) Kids' brains are more developed than most people would like to admit (young adults' brains even more so), and 3) Those "kids" knew EXACTLY what they were doing and, more importantly, exactly WHY they were doing it. This wasn't 'dumb kids who were simply unfortunate victims of their own youthful ignorance'. They knew right from wrong, and still they chose to do something despicable. This heinous orchestrated attack was absolutely premeditated, thoughtfully planned and gleefully executed by unquestionably dangerous people. Their sentences were obscenely short with a total lack of (much deserved) punishment; a pointed slap in the face of the entire concept of "justice". Those "kids" did not deserve any lenience or mercy, and the fact that the court gave them both of those things in spades is a total miscarriage of justice.

I made it to 7:55 and couldn’t go anymore. The thought of Michael struggling to get up and he was so weak he fell back down just brings ache to my heart. He literally laid there from the first beating still and they went back to torture him even more??!!! How could someone be so evil? Appalling Michael was even at that place when all he needed was therapy and love. He wasn’t a “bad” kid. My heart goes out to his family. That older lady is a straight up G. I had a friend get murdered in a similar fashion. People who were supposed to be his friends lured him to the river and stabbed him to death shortly after he had busted his butt to graduate. He was his parents’ only child. It was horrifying.
I empathize with his mother but I have to wonder if they had tried everything possible before resorting to a home. It sounds like they were good loving family before things happened. I wish they had been able to heal with family therapy and he could still be here.

It seems that the British and Canadian courts, among a few others internationally, place more priority on the supposed value of a horrible human’s rehabilitation and ability to “change” over time than they place on fair and right JUSTICE. I am a firm believer in rehabilitation but people seem to neglect there are certain actions and behaviors which strongly suggest if not directly prove someone is inherently flawed in a violent and socially incompatible manner.
The concept of physical and mental disabilities is widespread fact but when we're talking about crime, suddenly people start believing it's different. If you can be born conditionally e.g. being born autistic, it's simply a foolish lie to claim you can't be born evil.
These evil people show their true face and prove they need to be eliminated, but for whatever reason are treated as if they have a problem rather than are the problem. Evil is not just a fairytale.
I've been through some horrific things in my life and I have never committed a violent crime, but I do understand the mindset of those who do:
THEY DO IT FOR FUN. They do NOT care about anything other than their own freedom. They are among the most selfish and immature of beings.

I think we can all agree that U.K. sentencing is far too weak. There is a lad in the states called Aidan Fucci who was sentenced today to a minimum of 40 years for stabbing a girl to death when he was 14. That is the kind of sentencing we need in the U.K. These killers were still young men when they were released, that is practically no punishment. That poor boy suffered a horrific death and sadly in my opinion his killers escaped justice.

First michael’s father has a brain injury, becomes abusive, then dies. This poor boy had already suffered quite a lot even before the night of the attack! This is one of the more brutal attacks I have ever heard of. My heart goes out to Michael’s mother. I can’t even imagine what she is going through. Michael seemed like a sweet kid who was trying to cope with his father’s death. He deserved a chance at a good life.

I get there's much less rules in a fight, but the law will charge you for choosing to keep attacking someone when you have the opportunity to leave rather than damage them further. The goal of a real fight is to get away as unscathed as possible as quickly as possible, not going beyond what's needed to stay safe and get away. I really learned how to fight and went on a vigilante thing, helping anybody being bullied. I beat a ton of bullies and kept doing it until I felt that I no longer needed to. When I was 18 I had a run in with a couple of guys and from an exchange of insults all of a sudden they turned hyper aggressive, like nothing I have ever seen before. It was scary. Their leader headbutted me but he missed and just hit my lower lip and jaw. I ran like I had never run before and while running away this guy hit me in the ear which was much more painful than I expected. I myself was badly assaulted by a group and kicked in the head several times while on the ground. OMG!!! This is horrific. That poor boy Michael went through hell, just because IMO the evil little shit’s ex girlfriend finished with him and went to Michael. I’m actually halfway through the video but I’m so angry and upset that I had to write in the comments section to offload how I feel.

This story is just awful. I dated this girl when I was 20 who "had a past" and I remember being aggressively confronted by an ex of hers a couple times not even knowing who he was. He would see me at random spots around town and get up in my face in a weird way in which I didn't understand. She had told me that when she broke up with him he made several accusations that he would kill himself because of it. I didn't think much of it at the time but in retrospect it's scary how much he was unstable and I'm glad nothing like this befell me or her.

My uncle went to jail for 20 years for possession of marijuana. These kids attempted to kill, brutally injured, stabbed, kicked, and taunted another kid because Alan's ego was hurt. Everytime when I hear you tell about a person leaving an assault but not getting help for the victim, it makes me so upset. If there is any moment to flee the scene, why would someone not want to get help. Being able to say no to the peer pressure but not taking action just seems strange to me.

I remember this case and I remember being so angry at such a lax system, adults have an obligation to care for children when they’re in a care home it’s in the title I just let them run amok at 1 AM and not bother to check in or have at least one police officer on the tag that will go around and keep an eye on what they’re up to is reprehensible. And then I could only think about his poor mother, there was no way that any funeral Director would allow her to see her son in that condition. The thought that she could never ever see his face again, she might’ve been able to hold his hand but the instinct to pull back the cover is just too strong so I doubt she even got to do that. But to give these monsters 19 years for an act this heinous is just ridiculous. We still remember wee James and what was done to him. The slide was 15 years old had a whole life ahead of him at all it’s worth his 19 year? And the very real reality of the situation is is that those three monsters will go on to do this again when they get out of prison. They might even get new identities to protect them like those other two murderers who wow coincidentally went on to commit more crimes once out of prison. This is what happens when you can no longer discipline your children or keep them under control in any way, it turns into lord of the flies. I’m so sorry, i’m so sorry for his whole family but especially his mam.

The two were already bullies. The horrific acts they did to the poor boy plus the fact they said the were innocent, the comic strip they found, the 2nd attack , claiming that Michael asked them to beat him up to get criminal injury money that they would then split. All of this tells you their state of minds and it's a shame that they walk free again. I hope some people find them and will remind them for the rest of their lives what they have done.........

Just because they are minors doesn't mean they should get more lenient sentences after doing something that horrific. Age doesn't matter and doesn't change what someone is capable of. Just because you're under 18 doesn't mean you're any less dangerous than an adult who would do the same.

Every time I think that our American criminal justice system is far too lenient... I remember that England's is an absolute worthless joke. 10 years. Not Life without the possibility of parole. As someone who worked at a youth residential here in the states, I can't get over the "youth home with no curfew/can leave whenever you want". The residential I worked at took kids ages 5-18. Regardless of age, it was mandatory they be in their rooms BY 8pm, lights out at 830. Hell, they weren't even allowed down the hall TO THEIR ROOM without asking one of us if they could enter the hall. And leaving without supervision, especially at any time? Yeah, no. Cops were called almost immediately if that happened.

It is disgraceful to think that this could happen to anyone, & the time does not fit the crime, & that is disgraceful that a young man could be bashed & abused in this way, everyone makes mistakes, but no one deserves this amount of cruelty, to any member of society, & only animals behave like that & concerning the victim in this matter, surely he didn't deserve to die. The amount of crimes we hear about that are committed out of jealousy. These were teenagers starting out in life and to purposely coax an innocent lad into meeting up to beat him to a pulp over the fact he was dating one of the killers girlfriend's is alarming. I don't feel that any of the culprits should ever be allowed to live normal lives the cruelty, mindless, brutal behaviour they showed when killing Michael is devastating. I cannot imagine how Michael must of felt in his last moments of living and how his Mother felt knowing what those three lads had done to her son. All the emergency services that had to face the scene of this horrific crime. Must of been heart-breaking.

My god. That poor mother. I cannot imagine her trauma. First her husband has the hemorrhage and becomes an entirely different person. Then dies. Then her son starts to act out and become a nightmare while she's trying to grieve...and then this happens. Just unreal. And they only got 10 years?? F.uck the "justice" system. I'm very surprised that a minor (esp. a minor!) was able to leave any kind of group home/school/institution/etc so late at night. I've lived in group situations in the past, and even for adults, there is often some kind of curfew, like before 11pm you should be back at the house- something. Even as a semi-wild teen, I'd never just be setting out after midnight, so I was surprised that any place for troubled kids would allow a 15yr-old child to leave that late.

If the only point you got out of this is me not getting the time correctly then you didn't listen to that horrific story of what they done and took pleasure in. They should have gotten life period. So I could care less if the narrator said received 9 and 10 years verses minimum of 9 to 10 years. It wasn't enough as far as I'm concerned and that's my opinion which I have every right to. Man I worked with pupils referral students for years. Most of them were all bark and no bite, I got on with them all because I gave them respect and listened to them when they had problems, some had diagnosed disability’s which was sad because 15 yr olds were diagnosed with autism and it explained a lot of their behaviour. There was only one boy that scared me, he was a lot bigger than me and he repeatedly told me and another member of staff that he was going to kill us and the police would never find our bodies, the thing that worried me was I over heard him talking about stabbing us. He was a psychopath, he never showed any emotion and he was a bully. I won’t be surprised if he kills someone on day. He will probably be about 22 now.

When the boys went back "home" Michael had managed to crawl away some distance. When the boys returned they at first couldnt find him, but they soon saw him and caught up with him. Thats when they began the 2nd round of attacks. When they called the ambulance, Michael and them could actually see the ambulance driving round them looking for them, but when they couldnt see them they drove away thinking it was a prank call. Poor Michael was alive at this point and could see the ambulance. The boys said "There's your ambulance. too bad they cant find you" or something like that.

Disgusting case I had a similar type thing happen to me when I was 16 and at a house party a friend was throwing, I used to smoke weed back then and had a smoke with a girl who was girlfriend of an old friend of mine who’d gotten big by that point as he went to the gym from a young age preparing himself for life in army which he did and became a marine.. well weekend after that ran into him and his mate he was with Charlie also another big fella for our ages at the time… and josh was anti drugs for the career he wanted in army after he left school. Fair enough. But that night when I ran into them Charlie grabbed me big guy for 16 and josh bit me for giving his girlfriend weed, fair enough I knew I’d overstepped a line was Charlie who then said let’s “do him over” then punched me in back of the head and stomped on my back was josh who made him stop and left crazy how things can go so out of hand when you’re young with the wrong people around you

It's interesting to compare this case, the John Hron case and the Bobby Kent case in the US. They are all similar cases with strikingly different outcomes... The US believes in punishments more than the UK, Sweden and other countries. I find it hard to believe people who commit crimes like this are salvageable and able to ever become productive, law abiding members of society.

I'm from the U.S. so I know that special schools, or "units" as they were referred to in this video, for kids/teens with behavioral problems are probably different in many ways. However, I cannot get over the fact that the unit that Michael was in allowed the students to just leave whenever they felt like it! That's literally crazy! Am I missing something here??? Kids with behavioral problems that are profound enough to justify being plucked from regular schools and into these schools or units created specifically for these types of issues shouldn't be able to come and go as they please. That's about the LAST thing that they should be doing.
It honestly seems to me like this tragedy MAY have been avoided if these teenagers had stricter rules that they were required to adhere to.
It's just totally nuts...
