Dischordian is a solo project started in an attempt to move away from the w… Read Full Bio ↴Dischordian is a solo project started in an attempt to move away from the wall of sound and aggression and testosterone that makes up most rock music, an attempt to something new and different, to keep the intensity and depth of feeling that is so important for any music to work, but strip the music down to its basics – one guitar and one voice, just rhythms and melodies and words.

The project took shape gradually, and eventually expanded to a three-piece acoustic band with guitars, harmonica, trumpet, djembe and a variety of percussion instruments, incorporating a variety of sounds, from country to pop, rock ‘n’ roll to metal, and punk to folk. In the six or seven months since the band was formed, it has developed a considerable following, based primarily on live shows and a set of low-fi home demos. Dischordian has just finished recording its as yet untitled debut album.
