2) On their previous tour, Disclosure arrived in Newport News, VA, 4 1/2 hours from home to learn that their show had been cancelled. Here, most bands would have called it a day, but instead they frantically called friends to search for shows via MySpace. They ended up playing for free and headlining a show in Richmond, VA. This is just one of many stories that showcase Disclosure’s dedication.
In the past 3 years they have released 3 albums, have been part of an East Coast distributed compilation, performed in 7 states, went on 2 self-booked tours, and played over 50 shows. They have an upcoming full East Coast tour scheduled for July/August 2010 and they have no plans of slowing down.
3) Side project of Crunch Pod artist C/A/T. With the Disclosure project, Ben Arp of C/A/T shifts the focus towards tense samples and hard rhythmic sequences. While C/A/T has had a more abstract sound, Disclosure presents a more sonically straight-forward approach to songwriting. “Full Disclosure” attempts to further lift the veil and reveal the hidden hand that orchestrates world events. Extremely limited run of 25 copies and available only at Crunch Pod and was only available at live C/A/T performances in Summer 2005.
CD-R version is out of print. This album was recently re-issued as a digital download direct from Crunch Pod.
4) An Alternative/Powerpop/Rock band from Faringdon, UK. Formed 5 years ago Disclosure have earnt their reputation as one of the most exciting bands to emerge from the Swindon area through relentless gigging, energetic shows and great sounds. Performing on stage with the likes of Young Guns and The Rileys, Disclosure have played at many of the biggest and most respected venues and festivals in and around Oxfordshire. Now signed with New Vision Records and having recently released their latest EP at the o2 academy2 Islington, Disclosure have never sounded so focussed and relevant and this year will be hitting venues around the UK.

You spin me 'round like a knot
You know the pieces, pieces of my heart
Sometimes it's fun, you pull my strings one by one
Until you get me, get me onto one
Lately I've been thinking if you wanna get tough
Then let's play rough
Then let's play rough
I don't need you
Givin' it straight to me, givin' it straight to me
You're just gonna get knocked back
I don't need you
Telling me how to be, telling me how to be
You're just gonna get knocked back
Just gonna get knocked back
Just gonna get knocked back
Just gonna get knocked back
Just gonna get knocked back
Back, back, back, back
Back, back, back, back
Just noise, white noise
Just noise, white noise
I'm hearing static, you're like an automatic
You just wanna keep me on repeat and hear me crying
Just noise, white noise
Just noise, white noise
I'm hearing static, you're like an automatic
You just wanna keep me on repeat and hear me crying
Only you can look at me the way you do
You always tint me, tint me black and blue
Such a shame, you frame me with such disdain
You got me washed out, washed out, color drained
Lately I've been thinking if you wanna get tough
Then let's play rough
Lately I've been thinking if you wanna get tough
Then let's play rough
I don't need you
Givin' it straight to me, givin' it straight to me
You're just gonna get knocked back
I don't need you
Telling me how to be, telling me how to be
You're just gonna get knocked back
Just gonna get knocked back
Just gonna get knocked back
Just gonna get knocked back
Just gonna get knocked back
Back, back, back, back
Back, back, back, back
Just noise, white noise
Just noise, white noise
I'm hearing static, you're like an automatic
You just wanna keep me on repeat and hear me crying
(Hear me crying)
(Hear me crying)
The song White Noise by Disclosure is about a toxic and manipulative relationship where the singer addresses their partner, who knows them intimately but still harms them knowingly. The singer talks about how their partner plays with their emotions, pulling their strings one by one, and creates chaos in their life. The partner has a sadistic streak and likes to see the singer suffer, but the singer asserts that they don't need their partner's guidance or domination. The singer says they will fight back and play rough if the partner wants to, but they don't need them to give them advice or tell them how to live their life.
The chorus of the song talks about the white noise that the singer hears, which represents the confusion and chaos that the partner brings into their life. The partner's voice is like static, and they want to keep the singer crying and unhappy. The singer complains that the partner always looks at them in a certain way, which makes them feel terrible, and they make the singer feel washed out and color drained. The singer shows that despite being familiar with the partner's behavior, that knowledge doesn't make it any less painful.

Until you get me, get me onto one

Recently, I've been considering if you're up for a challenge
Then let's play rough
Then let's engage in a more intense relationship
I don't need you
I don't require you in my life
Givin' it straight to me, givin' it straight to me
I don't need advice or direction from you
You're just gonna get knocked back
If you try to tell me what to do, I'll resist
Telling me how to be, telling me how to be
I won't tolerate anyone dictating my behavior
Just noise, white noise
Our relationship has become meaningless, unimportant
I'm hearing static, you're like an automatic
I'm hearing interference, you're acting mechanically
You just wanna keep me on repeat and hear me crying
You only want to hear my negative emotions on a loop
Only you can look at me the way you do
You're the only one who sees me in this particular light
You always tint me, tint me black and blue
Your view of me always shows me in a negative light
Such a shame, you frame me with such disdain
It's unfortunate that you always present me negatively
You got me washed out, washed out, color drained

I'm hearing static, you're like an automatic
Same as before
You just wanna keep me on repeat and hear me crying
Same as before
(Hear me crying)
I'm expressing my pain
(Hear me crying)
Same as before

***** No not one ounce of sarcasm. Detroit is one of the most amazing cities.
1. At one time Detroit and the surrounding areas was one of the if not the single most wealthy city in the country per capita. It was a city developed during the Great Gatsby period with thousands of ridiculous mansions that are all over the place that one can buy for 50k to 100k. Im talking about a 5 thousand square foot 1920s mansion that in beverly hills would be 20 Million.
2. The entire city is made up of turn of the century ruins that could be renovated if more people moved there and brought the economy up. Imagine a city that has totally empty empire state building type buildings or Waldorf Astoria or Plaza Hotel buildings just totally empty.
3. There are thousands of factories and empty warehouses that could be turned into so much new useful things. At one point before the new govoner took office, Detroit was amassing a huge Motion Picture business with Hollywood studios shooting everything in Detroit because of its vast empty space, cityscape and low prices and tax rebates. Imagine all of those warehouses being turned into new fresh Motion Picture production sound stages or post production studios.
3. Detroit's streets were built for the auto industry. They are HUGE 8 lane streets like Michigan Ave, Gratiot Ave, Woodward, Jefferson BLVD and because the city is so economically depressed and a virtual ghost town, there are like NO COPS ANYWHERE. Going buck wild in Detroit and driving all over the place REALLY RALLY FAST not having to worry about getting pulled over is absolutely amazing. Not only that, the city is HUGE, is is the size of Manhattan, Boston and I think San Fransisco rolled up into one, and there is LOTS of areas to drive.
4. Detroit has one of the largest and last still standing Drive In Theatres in the country called the Ford Wyoming with 5 screens and is open YEAR ROUND, through rain sleet or snow!
5. Detroit has a huge new young entrepreneur creative community that has migrated there because of vast warehouse space and absurdly cheap property. For 100k you can buy a GIANT LOFT 2 thousand square foot loft that would cost 10 million dollars in Manhattan.
6. Bell Isle is like central park but only way more massive.
Detroit is like amazing DIAMOND that very few people know about. They only see all the bullshit propaganda on TV that loves to show Ruin Porn.
With enough effort, creativity and will, Detroit could be one of the best and most lucrative cities in the country.
