While Disco Ensemble's sound has evolved into a highly unique blend of modern punk-rock, you might hear the echoes of Refused and At the Drive-in, as well as The Cure in the background. In the world of dull mainstream-rock and self-repeating emo-bands, Disco Ensemble sounds fresh and inspiring. With strong vocals, bold lyrics and flashy retro-synth lines from leadsman Miikka Koivisto as the icing on the cake, Disco Ensemble is too good to be kept as a secret.
Disco ensemble has published five albums; Viper Ethics (2003), First Aid Kit (2005), Magic Recoveries (2008), The Island Of Disco Ensemble (2010) and Afterlife (2017).
First Aid Kit
Disco Ensemble Lyrics

No-one knows when I've left
Here I lay, staring at stars
But I know they're just satellites
The first aid kit 2x
It's useless
It's too late
I heard the sound of the sirens
Long gone in the distance a sweet sonnet
And I have seen no guardian angels
Well, I have my doubts if they even care
Take me to the hospital
Drive fast 'cause I am bleeding
Take me to the hospital
Drive fast 'cause I am bleeding
Snow falls through the windshield
I guess this time my fate is sealed
Here I'll lay forever
They'll find me under the autumn leaves
The first aid kit 2x
It's useless
It's too late
It offers no help
Take me to the hospital
Drive fast 'cause I am bleeding
Take me to the hospital
Drive fast 'cause I am bleeding
The lyrics of Disco Ensemble's song "First Aid Kit" tell a story of a person lying in a crashed car, in a state of hopeless distress, with no one aware of their situation. The singer is staring at the stars, seemingly aware of the situation they are in, and the futility of hope for any aid. The chorus of the song talks about how the first aid kit is now meaningless, as it is too late, and offers no real help. The singer hears the sound of sirens, but they are too far away, and there are no guardian angels, signaling their doubts about the importance of divine intervention. While the snow falls through the windshield, the singer seems to have accepted their fate, lying forever waiting for the rescue teams to find them under the autumn leaves.

Heh. My band plays a lot of DE covers...actually on the setlist for our upcoming, rather large, concert is..We Might Fall Apart, This Is My Head Exploding, Drop Dead Casanova, Worst Night Out and First Aid Kit. We're playing something like 15 songs.....but yeah, this song is phenomenally fun to play live, especially on bass. :D
