Conspiracy
Diskonnekted Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

If you don't like the truth
You can make up your own
Choose your own channel
Choose your own voice

'Adam and Eve'
Or 'Linda and Steve'
Just make up a story
You want us to believe

Make up your own

The truth has never
Sold any better
Bubblegum wisdom
Magazine junk

You call them liars
You call them thieves
'Cause you're really stuck
In your own beliefs

Make up your own

9/11
As a shortcut to heaven
Alien nations
Behind the sun

Robots among us
A dead president
Predict the future
Predict the end

Make up your own

The truth has never
Sold any better
Bubblegum wisdom
Magazine junk

You call them liars
You call them thieves
'Cause you're really stuck
In your own beliefs

Make up your own

Overall Meaning

In "Conspiracy" by Diskonnekted, the lyrics encourage listeners to take a critical eye towards the information being presented to them. The song asserts that individuals have the power to choose what they want to believe and can create their own narratives, whether it be about historical events or even the origins of humanity. The lines "If you don't like the truth, you can make up your own, choose your own channel, choose your own voice" suggest that there are various sources of information and that it's up to each individual to determine what they believe to be true.

The song then goes on to specifically reference some popular conspiracy theories such as "9/11 as a shortcut to heaven," "alien nations behind the sun," "robots among us," and "predict the future, predict the end." These lines suggest that some people are more willing to believe outlandish theories as opposed to more plausible ones. Throughout the song, there is a significant emphasis on the idea that the truth is subjective and that personal beliefs shape how individuals perceive the world around them.

Overall, "Conspiracy" addresses the idea of objective truth and how individuals interpret and shape reality for themselves. It makes the case that people should be aware of the sources they rely on for information and be willing to question those sources and form their own beliefs.

I have a question guys. I listen your music from the begining. Today I don't know how, I saw this song in my winamp. However i decided to check your chanel to listen your new songs, to check how subscribers you have.. But I see something makes me sad. No new tracks from 3 years ago, and you have just 290 subs. Why ? Why stop making this ? Just stop ???
You guys have a potential to be one of the best on this or similar genre. Its not ok to stop just that. You need to be patient and keep the hard work to make the things happen.
Im not with bad feelings right now guys.. Just all this makes me sad.

Best regards from Bulgaria !
See you :)
