I Wonder
Disney Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I wonder, I wonder, I wonder why
Each little bird has someone to sing to
Sweet things to a gay little love melody?

I wonder, I wonder if my heart keeps singing
Will my song go winging to someone who'll find me
And bring back a love song to me?

Overall Meaning

In Disney's "I Wonder," the singer expresses their curiosity about why every little bird has someone to sing to, while they wonder if their heart keeps singing, will their song go winging to someone who'll find them, and bring back a love song to them. The lyrics present a yearning desire for love and companionship with the use of metaphorical language. The metaphorical significance of the little birds sets a tone of longing for romance and purpose to their life.

The lyrics also depict a sense of loneliness and uncertainty in the singer's life, as they continue to wonder if they will ever find someone who will sing sweet things to a gay little love melody with them. The song's emphasis on the idea of "finding" love rather than "seeking" it creates a sense of passive hope.

Overall, "I Wonder" is a heartfelt song that showcases a longing desire for love and companionship, while also depicting a sense of uncertainty and loneliness in the singer's life.

Fun Fact: Those windows around the outside of the outdoor areas not only block wind, they also block about 85% of UV light rays (as do all of the ship's windows). We tested these areas with our daughter's medical UV meter. People who are sun-sensitive or who want extra protection from burning may enjoy sitting out in these areas and still enjoy the views (always wear sunscreen, of course, but still good to know!).

I'm curious what time of day you made this video. We've sailed on the Disney Fantasy two times and your tour made it seem like the crowds are significantly lower than the Fantasy at sea days! We absolutely love Disney cruises, but the crowds on sea days can be a bit much. Loved your tour - thanks for your videos!
