Fly Away
Distant Cousins Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Right on time
We're gonna leave our troubles behind.
Wake up under
Blue skies,
Cool breez gonna dry your eyes.
Oh I wanna fly away with you.
Oh I wanna fly away with you.
In the rain
Above the clouds the sun still shines the same
Chasing shadows across the sea
We're gonna live these memories.
Oh I wanna fly away with you.
Oh I wanna fly away with you.
Take off
Right on time.
We're gonna leave our troubles behind
Oh I wanna fly away with you.
Oh I wanna fly away with you.
The lyrics to Distant Cousins's song Fly Away paint a picture of leaving one's worries behind and escaping to a brighter, happier place with someone they love. The first verse sets the scene for a journey, describing the excitement of taking off and leaving all troubles behind. The second verse captures the idea of finding beauty in the midst of difficult situations - even in a yellow taxi in the rain, the sun still shines above the clouds. Finally, the chorus reinforces the desire to escape with the one they adore, hoping to create wonderful memories together.
The song's upbeat tempo and pop-style melody evoke a feeling of happiness and hope. The lyrics encapsulate the dream of escaping from the troubles of reality and experiencing new adventures with a loved one.
Overall, Fly Away is an optimistic song about finding solace in the beauty of the world and those around us. It's a reminder that we can always choose to leave behind our problems and embrace the joy that life can offer.
