Distemper Lyrics

(Acid Rain) depicts a dystopian world where a little girl, wearing cement pants, is playing with blocks amidst a filthy environment caused by pollution. Her once rosy cheeks have been washed off by acid rain that penetrates through the ozone layer. The sun beats down oppressively and we find out that the little girl has lost her gas mask, leaving her unable to smile. The plastic house located in a grove of gas pipes is now home to radioactive waste instead of singing birds. The singer desires to remove their clothes and lay in the grass; however, this is not possible due to the lethal state of their surroundings. The old dosimeter goes off again, signalling the closure of their death but not saying a word about it. The Red Cross and Greenpeace were not capable of rescuing the people, and the acid-resistant clothing is no longer effective. In a subterranean bunker with enraged rats, the singer expects to encounter some more trouble. The song ends on a poignant note, with a prayer for a return to normalcy being washed away by the acid rain.
The song Кислотный Дождик came out in 2004 and immediately caught the attention of the punk-rock fraternity throughout Russia as well as overseas. Here are some interesting facts about the song:
