All I Know
Dive Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I've never felt so wanted
I've never been so scared
I've never felt so useless
Or been so unprepared

I woke up from a nightmare
It's running through my head
I feel like breaking out
I feel like reaching out

You're all I know
You're all I Know
When there's nowhere left to go
You're all I know

I never worried so much
To the point where I would break
Everything is different
This feeling you can't fake

And I never had something
That has felt this right
I never had so much to lose
To make me love my life

I woke up from a nightmare
It's running through my head
I feel like breaking out
I feel like reaching out

You're all I know
You're all I Know
When there's nowhere left to go
You're all I know

You're all I know (you're all I know)
You're all I Know (you're all I know)
When there's nowhere left to go
You're all I know

You're all I know (you're all I know)
You're all I Know (you're all I know)

When there's nowhere left to go
You're all I know

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Dive's song "All I Know" depict a sense of vulnerability and dependence on someone else. The first verse portrays the singer's conflicting emotions of feeling wanted but also scared, useless, and unprepared. The second verse describes the singer's worry and how everything has changed, but also how they have never felt something so right. The chorus is a declaration of dependence on the other person, stating that they are all the singer knows and that they turn to them when there is nowhere else to go.

The song captures the essence of a deep connection that is strong enough to carry someone through the tough times. The singer relies on their partner to provide stability and comfort, even when things seem hopeless. The contrast of the unsteady emotions in the verse and the unwavering commitment in the chorus creates a powerful message of the strength found in love.

Overall, "All I Know" is a heartfelt tribute to the significant other who provides support and security in moments of uncertainty. The lyrics express the depth of emotion that can arise from a relationship, and how it can anchor a person when they feel lost.

I don't care what anyone says this is the saddest Nirvana song ever in my opinion.

Years after Kurt died and this song came out on radios people burst into tears and vibed while doing so. It felt like the band was back after his death, it felt like Kurts soul came back to make one last song. all the memories fans had with him just sinked into them just like what's happening in this video, all the clips forming together of past memories. It felt like closure of his death. For me the song is basically his legacy song his ending of a chapter/ book.

Its crazy hes 56 years old if he was still alive. I wonder what wouldve happened if he lived. The last words he had said when he was singing was "pain"

Rip kurt cobain its crazy how long ago this happened

I deleted the suicide part idk it felt way too cheesy you guys can tell me what to put i guess and ill credit yo

The fact Kurt couldve been 57 today is sad :(

Lyrics

I will never bother you
I will never promise to
I will never follow you
I will never bother you
Never speak a word again
I will crawl away for good
I will move away from here
You won't be afraid of fear
No thought was put into this
I always knew it would come to this
Things have never been so swell
I have never failed to fail
Pain
Pain
Pain
You know you're right
You know you're right
You know you're right
I'm so warm and calm inside
I no longer have to hide
Let's talk about someone else
The steaming soup begins to melt
Nothing really bothers her
She just wants to love herself
I will move away from here
You won't be afraid of fear
No thought was put into this
I always knew to come like this
Things have never been so swell
I have never failed to fail
Pain
Pain
Pain
Pain
Pain
You know you're right
You know you're right
You know you're right
You know you're right
You know you're right
You know you're right
You know you're right
You know you're right
You know you're right
You know you're right
You know you're right
You know you're right
You know your rights
You know you're right
You know your rights
You know your rights
You know your rights

@alessandroponte682

I was raised by Nirvana
And they hugely influenced me both in a positive and negative way.
Once they were hepful in getting along, then to bring me down.

I will never stop to appreciate Kurt's artistic talent.
But he was a person constantly suffering from his dire and sorrowful life.
Who once decided it was his time to leave this planet.

Be careful about what you listen to, and above all be careful about the consequences of letting your mind go adrift

Buddhism teaches a lot.

May you be blessed
