La Aplanadora del Rock is known for mixing rock with Argentine folk music, and hard-to-get lyrics. The most successful point on the band's career came with the 1993 record La era de la boludez.
Other than founding members Mollo and Arnedo, different drummers have completed the normal trio: 1988 to 1990, Gustavo Collado; 1990 to 1995, Federico Gil Solá; 1995 to 2004, Jorge Araujo; and since 2004, Catriel Ciavarella.
The name of the band is taken from Sumo's favourite band and influences (the late Ian Curtis was a good friend of Luca Prodan) - Joy Division.
The band has recorded a number of covers, such as Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix and Light My Fire by The Doors. Covers not committed to CD include I Want You (She's So Heavy) and Day Tripper by The Beatles. In their shows, Divididos has played songs such as "Rock and Roll" and "Moby Dick" (Led Zeppelin), and "Little Wing" (Jimi Hendrix). The band also covers some Sumo songs, usually in medley format.

Divididos Lyrics

en el silencio interior
algo
tierno why engañador
por pasión
farsa, mito why dolor
por la fobia
la mueca se mordió
en esta furia social
niega
el ganso la enfermedad
harto
de una oratoria gaga
nunca
el panda va a ser polar
Va el zombie
ciego sordo sin hablar
se canso de si
creyente turbio fue
no sabe perdonar
nervioso de amuletos
grita
Cien cuadras de cola
para ver al salvador
a Lujan, a Liniers
al Torreón del monje
Guay, guarda con la fe
con la mala fe
Ciegos sordos mudos zombis
zombis.
The song "Zombie" by Divididos explores the theme of social conformity and the resulting loss of individuality. The lyrics describe a person dancing in a state of inner silence, indulging in something both tender and deceitful out of a sense of passion. They then move to summarize the frustration and malaise of social life characterized by fake myths, the resultant pain and fear, and ultimately, the impossibility of breaking free from this cycle. The words "Va el zombie ciego sordo sin hablar" ("The zombie goes, blind, deaf, and mute") sum it up as a disastrous state of human existence.
The lyrics depict the zombie metaphorically, as people caught up in the suffocating social pressure and internalized assumptions of what they should be, do, or believe. The song is a call to break away from the monotony of life and embrace individuality. The seemingly random sentences suggest the absurdity of human behavior, which is often characterized by mindless conformity, blind faith, and dependence on external symbols of salvation. It turns out, however, that salvation can be found only through personal choices and self-realization, not through the superficial imitation of others.
