Two music lovers, who really dig the whole North hill country music of North Mississippi, and is infused throughout each song. Signed to Glasgow Independent record label Big Rock Candy Records in 2010, and released self titled debut album in the summer of 2011 to critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic.
They are long established musicians in the Central Scotland music scene, playing many of the major venues and several festivals including Europe’s largest free blues festival, the Dundee Blues Bonanaza.
Dixie Fried play their own version of upbeat hypnotic blues rock as good as 2 guys from Scotland could. So if you like deep down and dirty Mississippi Blues Rock, then come and join the Dixie Fried train....next stop....anywhere

The lyrics of Dixie Fried's song Senorita seems to be a romantic tale of a man who is utterly smitten with a woman he refers to as Señorita, whom he wants to spend the night with. He is enchanted by her and can't stop thinking about her. He asks her to come to him with a sense of urgency and reassures her not to cry because he will be with her and show her how to dance. He reminisces on a lonely night in Santa Fe, where he saw her and fell in love with her, and kissed her knowing she was the one he had been searching for. They exchanged words in a language that seem to be foreign, possibly Spanish. Even with the dust road, dirty clothes, and mind too, he only wants Señorita. He wants to take her away from all the lies and be with her under the moonlight.
