Senorita
Dixie Fried Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Sun goes down I only wanna se you
my sweetest rose I'm dreaming 'bout your eyes
Dust road, dirty clothes and mind too
read my letters, don't believe all lies

Please Señorita Queen of moonlight
knock my door and be with me that big night
I said, please Señorita come with me now
don't cry my dear let's dance and I show how

Santa Fe, one lonely night in saloon
I saw her eyes my heart was warm again
I kissed her once and then we said together:
El jango rancho grande deve Via!

Please Señorita Queen of moonlight
knock my door and be with me that big night
I said, please Señorita come with me now
don't cry my dear let's dance and I show how

So give me your hands and I give you mine too
We'll be together just me and you
I only say this cause I'm right
Take it back rose and turn out the light
Tequila boys!

Sun goes down I only wanna se you
my sweetest rose I'm dreaming 'bout your eyes
Dust road, dirty clothes and mind too
read my letters, don't believe all lies

Please Señorita Queen of moonlight
knock my door and be with me that big night
I said, please Señorita come with me now
don't cry my dear let's dance and I show how

Please Señorita Queen of moonlight
knock my door and be with me that big night
I said, please Señorita come with me now

don't cry my dear let's dance and I show how
don't cry my dear let's dance and I show how

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Dixie Fried's song Senorita seems to be a romantic tale of a man who is utterly smitten with a woman he refers to as Señorita, whom he wants to spend the night with. He is enchanted by her and can't stop thinking about her. He asks her to come to him with a sense of urgency and reassures her not to cry because he will be with her and show her how to dance. He reminisces on a lonely night in Santa Fe, where he saw her and fell in love with her, and kissed her knowing she was the one he had been searching for. They exchanged words in a language that seem to be foreign, possibly Spanish. Even with the dust road, dirty clothes, and mind too, he only wants Señorita. He wants to take her away from all the lies and be with her under the moonlight.
