Fresh off of his breakthrough performance on BET's 106&Park where he captured the nations attention with "Top Knotch Steez" 19 year old Dizzy D Flashy is a lyrical phenomenon and one of the hottest up and coming HipHop talents to anticipate. Based in Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world, Dizzy has managed to use the city as a platform to launch his career and has already been stirring up all sorts of action.
No stranger to entertainment, Dizzy began his career at the age of ten as a youth reporter interviewing major celebrities such as Nelly, Jessica Simpson, Magic Johnson, & Boys II Men with his younger brother K.J. The young brothers began recording songs and before they knew it were asked to perform at high profile events such as Magic Johnson's Mid Summer Nights Mardi Gras where they made their first performance on the same stage as B2K. Not long after, R & B singer turned actor, Tyrese called them up on the stage during a photo OP at the 3rd Annual BET Awards in Los Angeles and introduced them to the media as DaFuture. The brothers really liked that name and decided thatβs what they would be called from that point on.
Under the direction and guidance of their Uncle Layzie Bone, of the multi-platinum rap group Bone thugs-n-harmony the two brothers recorded many songs including one featuring Cassidy while working in the studio with Swizz Beatz. However, reality was beginning to set in as their mom simply could not afford to put anymore money into their young careers. As a result of Dizzyβs family financial problems, the teenagers of a single mom were forced to focus on school and give music a temporary rest. Dizzy calls this his inspiration for the song βDreams on Holdβ. In total DaFuture won three awards in three years (2005, 2006 & 2007) at the annual Las Vegas Music Awards including "Best Hip-Hop Group".
Now, almost two years later Dizzy has stepped out on his own as a solo performer. Heβs been grinding in the studio almost everyday after school working on songs for his debut album. While in pursuit of the right major situation he plans to spread positive energy through his music. Hopefully allowing people to not only groove to his songs but be able to understand his young perception of life through his eyes with his dynamic and crystal clear ability to flow in a variety of styles to a variety of speaker bumping beats. βIβve learned the hard way that you can be the coolest kid on the block and still have a good head on your shoulders; education is the key to the future, itβs important no matter what career you are pursuing,β exclaims the young entertainer.
Over the years Dizzy has been in the studio with many major recording artist and producers and has had the pleasure to work with many. Even though he is a hip-hop artist, heβs worked with R & B producers that have produced hit records for Missy Elliott, Alicia Keys, Destiny's Child, Mario and many, many more. Dizzy is sure to be right there among some of todayβs hottest young entertainers that go straight for the top. He has his own swag and he prolifically displays this on his debut single "Swagg It Out" which is beginning to create a major buzz in his hometown of Las Vegas.

Let's get 'em, let's get 'em
Let's fuckin' get 'em, let's get 'em
Who's bringing the flavor to your ear
Which one of you ladies gon make it disappear (disappear)
Who got the ganja? Know me time's near (times near)
You niggas had a chance now we're taking it from here
Who's bringing the flavor to your ear
Which one of you ladies gon make it disappear (disappear)
Who got the ganja? Know me time's near (times near)
You niggas had a chance now we're taking it from here
Funk Volume (volume, volume)
Somebody should've told 'em I was next
The nigga disrespected, I had to hold him by his neck
Sometimes these niggas need to be put in check
See, sometimes these niggas can't comprehend respect
They say I'm out of line, but you niggas is not around
How you scorin' points when you standin' out of bounds?
In other words, how you gettin' money and you ain't keeping it real?
With no skills, playin' the field like you not a clown
I guess somebody should put the target on the fans
Support the bullshit and you a part of the scam
The million-man march, my grandaddy sellin' grams
Learned the game from a pimp (he just becoming a man, goddamn)
Tattoo's all over my dark skin (my dark skin)
I ain't trippin' I'm building on small wins
I know myself, so I told myself I'm all in
For the record and the cars we just evolving (woo-haa)
Who's bringing the flavor to your ear
Which one of you ladies gon make it disappear (disappear)
Who got the ganja? Know me time's near (times near)
You niggas had a chance now we're taking it from here
Funk Volume (volume, volume)
Who's bringing the flavor to your ear
Which one of you ladies gon make it disappear (disappear)
Who got the ganja? Know me time's near (times near)
You niggas had a chance now we're taking it from here
Funk Volume (volume, volume)
It's no conincidence they nervous when they see us comin'
I'll kick down your door and put an end to your fuckin' function
I ain't tryna make friends with all these rap niggas (nahh)
I rather get tea-bagged on top of cat-litter (wauw)
The only thing I fear is idle time
So I'm back on my grizzy with the Valley state of mind
I put my all into this motherfuckin' game
And learn from every loss, so when I lose, it's still a gain
Dizzy, these fools are lame, it's obvious, but it's unaddressed
It's sad the fans got accustomed to accepting less
I can see the clear picture even from the upper decks
So I dumb it down to make it easy for these fools to connect
We're bringin' that funky flavor, that new major
F-U-N-K V-O-L-U-M-E spells danger
To all you pussy footing rappers come and hear me out
FV is that clique (clique)
Something like a mouse (aha-ha-haaaaa)
Who's bringing the flavor to your ear
Which one of you ladies gon make it disappear (disappear)
Who got the ganja? Know me time's near (times near)
You niggas had a chance now we're taking it from here

In Dizzy Wright's song "The Flavor," he is essentially challenging other rappers and proclaiming his own abilities with his cohorts in Funk Volume. The first lines of the song involve SwizZzleFish hyping up the audience for what is to come. The chorus repeats the line "Who's bringing the flavor to your ear" and talks about the group taking control and moving forward with their music-making. The second verse has Dizzy addressing critics, asserting himself as the next big thing and standing up for what he believes in while also criticizing others for not doing the same.
Dizzy Wright's lyrics are insightful commentary on the music industry and how it operates. He touches on the idea of people accepting less and not speaking up, which can lead to the perpetuation of a toxic music culture. He also makes a point to criticize those who are not being true to themselves, as he thinks that is important in defining who you are as a rapper. Throughout the entire song, Dizzy Wright makes it clear that he is confident in himself, his music, and his team, and they are ready to take on the industry with their unique flavor.

I thought Swizzz KILLED it on this track in a different way than he normally does. Dudes a lyrical genius, more consistent than any other rapper I've ever heard.
