Seduzir

Do fundo de uma paixão
Seduzir, as pedras, catedrais, coração
Amar, é perder o tom
Nas comas da ilusão
Revelar todo o sentido
Vou andar, vou voar, pra ver o mundo
Encheria o que eu tenho de fundo
Vou andar, vou voar, pra ver o mundo
Nem que eu bebesse o mar
Encheria o que eu tenho de fundo
Vou andar, vou voar, pra ver o mundo
Nem que eu bebesse o mar
Encheria o que eu tenho de fundo
Cantar, é mover o dom
Do fundo de uma paixão
Seduzir, as pedras, catedrais, coração
Amar, é perder o tom
Nas comas da ilusão
Revelar todo o sentido
Vou andar, vou voar, pra ver o mundo
Nem que eu bebesse o mar
Encheria o que eu tenho de fundo
Vou andar, vou voar, pra ver o mundo
Nem que eu bebesse o mar
Encheria o que eu tenho de fundo
Vou andar, vou voar, pra ver o mundo
Nem que eu bebesse o mar
Encheria o que eu tenho de fundo
Vou andar, vou voar, pra ver o mundo
Nem que eu bebesse o mar
Encheria o que eu tenho de fundo
Vou andar, vou voar, pra ver o mundo
Nem que eu bebesse o mar
Encheria o que eu tenho de fundo
Vou andar, vou voar, pra ver o mundo
Nem que eu bebesse o mar
Encheria o que eu tenho de fundo
Vou andar, vou voar
, pra ver o mundo
Nem que eu bebesse o mar
Encheria o que eu tenho de fundo
The lyrics to Djavan's song Seduzir are full of passion, movement, and desire. The opening lines - "Cantar, é mover o dom do fundo de uma paixão" - can be translated as "To sing is to move the gift from the depths of a passion." This captures the emotional intensity that the singer feels towards his art, suggesting that his singing is an extension of his deepest desires. The next line - "Seduzir, as pedras, catedrais, corazón" - translates as "To seduce the stones, the cathedrals, the heart." This image connects the power of music and love, suggesting that both can move even the most immovable objects.
The chorus of the song talks about the singer's desire to travel and see the world, even if it means drinking the ocean - "Vou andar, vou voar, pra ver o mundo / Nem que eu bebesse o mar / Encheria o que eu tenho de fundo." This line expresses the singer's need to explore and experience all that the world has to offer, even if it costs him everything he has. The final verse repeats the opening lines, emphasizing the connection between passion and art - "Cantar, é mover o dom do fundo de uma paixão / Seduzir, as pedras, catedrais, corazón / Amar, é perder o tom nas comas da ilusão / Revelar todo o sentido" - "To sing is to move the gift from the depths of a passion / To seduce the stones, the cathedrals, the heart / To love is to lose the tone in the comas of illusion / To reveal all the meaning."
