The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called the Doctor, exploring the universe in a time-travelling space ship called the TARDIS. The TARDIS exterior appears as a blue British police box, which was a common sight in Britain in 1963 when the series first aired.
There have been many composers throughout the show's run. Notable composers are: Murray Gold (2005-2017), Segun Akinola (2017-2022), Dudley Simpson (various stories from 1964- 1980), and Peter Howell (1980-1985), among others.

It’s brilliant because at first you assume that it was a production error and that the writers didn’t think that a race of two headed aliens would obviously make statues of their likeness with two heads, but then you realize it was all part of the plan….
