The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called the Doctor, exploring the universe in a time-travelling space ship called the TARDIS. The TARDIS exterior appears as a blue British police box, which was a common sight in Britain in 1963 when the series first aired.

There have been many composers throughout the show's run. Notable composers are: Murray Gold (2005-2017), Segun Akinola (2017-2022), Dudley Simpson (various stories from 1964- 1980), and Peter Howell (1980-1985), among others.

This one cuz it's really chills and 2 is in journey into the center of the TARDIS, when I see the burned replicas of em I just shut down the PC lol and the last one is absolutely mummy on the orient express, I couldn't sleep for a while when I watched at first :/ Also when I watched Dw's first episode I was probably 13 so till this time can't stay with plastic mannequin even though the scene was hilarious lol they got me 😆

2:40 I like how the Doctor and River figure it out first. Time lords are more durable and harder to hypnotize. It makes sense that the time lord and the half time lord were the first ones to see through a perception filter.

I'm not a dedicated fan of Doctor Who. But this episode is one of my favorite episodes of any show I've ever watched. It's so horrifying. When he says "Why don't the statues?", I almost cry, every time.

This was such a great horror moment. The angels were for a while a masterful supernatural horror creation, no violence or gore needed, just a statue that moved when you weren't loonking.

Then of course they had to overuse them in less scary episodes and they lost some of what made them special.

I think they originally had wings, too, but they've been trapped, slowly starving to death, and the "stone" is literally being worn away with holes in their faces on some of them. I'm guessing the wings were the first to be lost as starvation set in.

The weeping angel is the one thing that you really can't win against. It's made of stone that can't be broken, impossibly fast when unobserved, and the one thing that the doctor doesn't have a consistent way to beat. Yeah he can win against them, but he never is in control of the situation until the end of his encounter with them unlike his other foes. That is the most terrifying thing about them.

tbh the doctor's "oh" sounded less scary and more sad and disappointed to me, so I didn't pick up on anything. Then River's "oh" immediately put me on high alert because she actually looked afraid. There's a spark of interest in the Doctor's eyes as he observes the angels. Yes he's scared, but River's fear is real and present.

Nope, it’s presumed they disguised themselves appropriately to their surroundings. They were called Angels because the Doctor originally encountered them on Earth where people wouldn’t think twice about a literal Weeping Angel on the side of a building. As an audience we always see the Angels in the presence of humans so we’d recognise them in a heartbeat.

The neck snapping initially started when the one angel needed to lure some of the clerics, so it killed one and basically ripped out his cerebra cortex and reanimated a voice to basically lure the others, like in Predator how they use their voice copyers, I think it's probably because it had higher priorities and therefore needed to deal with the soldiers quickly.

After that though it was the Bishop that died which you could argue was just due to bloodlust or maybe because he lived most of his life there wouldn't have been much to feed on, Angels don't need to zap everyone back in time, it's just their preferred means of execution so they can feed from it.

@Cactus Danimator They don’t exist while they’re stone. You wouldn’t be smashing the angel, you’d just be smashing a statue. The moment you blink or turn away, they exist again, ready to kill. I only saw one parody clip that seemed like a decent way to kill them; a girl put a stick of dynamite in the weeping angel’s mouth and blinked right before it went off so she could destroy the angel’s actual form. I don’t think these guys came prepared with a stick of dynamite for every angel in the maze.
