Who Knows
Dollar Beau Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
It means more to me than just a night
That we share
So make sure that you're prepared
Baby and know that love is not just something to do
It's the moment that transcends
Our physical into a more spiritual level of understanding
And who knows
Somehow this night
Just might lead us into a place
Where our emotions can grow if we let them go
Cause who knows
What may happen
If we act on our attractions
And loose ourselves
Inside a world made for us
And no one else
Hey girl just let me love you
Now ain't no need to be afraid
Cause I'll be as gentle as it takes
To provide you with the right amount of
Pleasure and pain and I'll
Make sure that you feel alright
Even if it takes me all night
Cause the joy is all mine
When I know your satisfied
So lets keep giving all we got
[Chorus]
Listen, now I can see it in your eyes (yeah)
(I can handle whatever's on your mind)
That you want to baby just as bad as I do
(and girl I wanna give it to you)
Now if you can just set aside your fears
And just try to deal with what's going on with us right now
[Chorus]
Oh baby girl
Come on and let me love you
The lyrics to Dollar Beau's song "Who Knows" are all about taking a chance on love and letting go of fear in order to fully embrace a moment of connection with someone else. The song starts off by stating that what is about to happen is more than just a casual encounter, and that love is not just something to do. The intention is to go beyond the physical and reach a more spiritual level of understanding through a shared experience.
The chorus of the song encourages the listener to embrace the unknown possibilities that could come from acting on their attraction. If they can let go of their fears and allow themselves to feel vulnerable with another person, they could find themselves in a world made just for them, where their emotions can grow and flourish.
The final verse reinforces this idea of taking a chance on love, assuring the listener that they will be gentle and provide them with the right amount of pleasure and pain. The goal is to ensure that they feel satisfied and fulfilled, even if it takes all night. The repeated refrain of "come on and let me love you" is a plea to the listener to trust in the moment and let themselves be fully present with the other person.

I played guitar For Beau,s band for four years .I played on Soul Serenade and Any Day Now. That. session was produced by Lonnie Mack ,he also loaned me the use of his Magnatone amplifier that day.He did not play on those. songs but was in the engineering booth taping that session . Beau,s band was the best I ever. Played with.. Beau on drums Wayne Bullock on Organ, Bill Jones on bass... I deeply miss Bill Bowman aka Beau Dollar.

Tim Heding played organ on I Can't Stand Myself When You Touch Me the 22nd studio album by American musician James Brown as well. That album was released in March 1968, by King Records.James Brown . Sadly Tim Heding on organ passed on 10/10/2017. Joining the band of Angles in the sky, too many gone too soon. :( Sadly Tim Heding on organ passed on 10/10/2017. Find the playlist I have created for him on my channel/playlist.

John Mooter - John - did you really play with Beau Dollar? Tell us more.
@johnmooter2300
KLIP1220 AM Soul Radio Station I did not record with him, but played club gigs at a place in Kentucky called the Roundup (trombone). We also did a few private gigs. He had his drums tuned really loose, like paper. It was like a train when it got going. I will always remember him; not a technician, but a groove master, and very nice man as well. I played with probably most of those guys in that band. Cincinnati is where James Brown recorded, and many local guys are on his recordings: Les Ash (sax) Kenny Tibbits (bass) Ronny Grason (Drums)...I am not sure if Beau played on any James Brown recordings. He may have.
