2) DOMENICA is a heavy modern rock band with grunge undertones, that started in Western Canada in 2004 and is presently located in Los Angeles, USA. The band has toured Canada, the USA, Japan, Europe, and the UK and has released one album in 2009 with another release in 2013.
Domenica's 1st CD "The Luxury", was recorded at Matt Sorum's (Guns n' Roses/Velvet Revolver) private Hollywood, CA studio. Marcos Curiel (P.O.D.) had crossed paths with singer/songwriter/guitarist Bekki Domenica, and co-wrotewrote/co-produced 3 songs.
On 09/09/09, "The Luxury" was released in Japan. A fervent public reception followed. Features in glossy hard rock magazines, video spins, and an undeniable buzz, brought Domenica the first of their several global successes to date. "The Luxury" was ranked HMV Japan's No.1 album pick on 2 separate occasions. The song "What Goes Around", (one of the 3 co-written by Bekki and Marcos) was chosen by Burrn! Magazine's editor in chief as one of the top 10 hard rock/metal songs of 2009 (Japan's 'Rolling Stone' equivalent). September tour dates are in the works
Following their Canadian release (09/15/09), Domenica’s single ‘Above Me’ achieved heavy radio and video rotation in Canada on both active rock and alternative rock radio formats. A heavy tour schedule was locked in, and the band promoted this release coast to coast for several months. This hard work secured them for the 'Rock On The Range' stadium festival, featuring Stone Temple Pilots, Buckcherry, Three Days Grace, Godsmack and more.
More recently, "The Luxury" has been released in Australia (04/09/10), where the video has already been piked up in to rotation on RAGE. On a pre-release trip, singer/songwriter/guitarist Bekki Friesen was invited to the country's largest rock station (Triple M, Sydney) for a live acoustic performance and interview. Domenica is slated to play with some of Australia's hottest up and coming rock artists and the Rock N' Roll Revolution Festival Tour this summer.
The Germany/Austria/Switzerland release is slated for 4/23/10, but Domenica's sigle 'Above Me' has already stormed onto the Metal/Rock 30 charts. Debuting at No.27, the song is currently sitting at No.18 in only it's second week of promotion. May and September tour dates are in the works.

What Goes Around
Domenica Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You're trapped inside your anger
You're trapped inside your mind
You hurt the ones around you
Now you're alone at night
Noone is going to save you
Noone is going to try
And keep on living lies
What goes around, it comes around
You've fallen down--it's not my problem
You wanted, you needed
You took it by yourself
You're cold and blackhearted
You did it to yourself
You've broken your promise
You shut your own self out
You wanted, you needed
You did it to yourself
What goes around...
You did it to yourself (No one can save you)
It's all your fault
Now your world crashes down
The lyrics to Domenica's song "What Goes Around" are essentially a damning indictment of someone who has made bad choices and is now facing the consequences of those decisions. The singer addresses this person directly, telling them that they are trapped inside their own anger and mind, and that they have hurt the people around them. The person is now alone at night, with no one to save or help them. The singer makes it clear that this individual has brought about their own downfall, pointing out that they took what they wanted and needed without concern for others, and that they have broken promises and shut themselves out. The chorus reinforces the idea that karma will eventually catch up with this person: what goes around comes around. They have fallen down, but it's not the singer's problem.
The song contains a sense of frustration, anger, and disappointment, as the singer seems to be someone who has been close to this person and has watched them make mistake after mistake. There is a feeling of finality in the lyrics, as if the singer has given up on trying to help this person. The tone is harsh but honest, conveying a sense of tough love. The song can be interpreted as a warning to others who may be on the path to self-destruction.
