THE TRANSLATION IN ORDER IS AS FOLLOWS:

From delusion lead me to truth
From darkness lead me to light
From death lead me to immortality.

He who knows both knowledge and action,
with action overcomes death and with
knowledge reaches immortality.

In him are woven the sky and the earth
and all the regions of the air, and in him
rest the mind and all the powers of life.
Know him as the ONE and leave aside all
other words. He is the bridge of
immortality.

Beyond the senses is the mind, and beyond
the mind is reason, its essence. Beyond
reason is the Spirit in man, and beyond this
is the Spirit of the Universe, the evolver of
all.

When the five senses and the mind are still,
and reason itself rests in silence, then
begins the Path supreme.

Ya ya ya ya yada yadaya
Ya ya ya ya yada yada yada yada
Yada yada yada yada yada

And when he is seen in his immanence and
transcendence, then the ties that have
bound the heart are unloosened, the doubts

of the mind vanish, and the law of Karma
works no more.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Don Davis's song Neodämmerung contain Hindu Sanskrit verses from the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad. The verses express the idea of moving from illusion to truth, darkness to light, and mortality to immortality. The goal is to reach a state of consciousness beyond the physical senses and the mind. The verses emphasize the power of both action and knowledge to overcome death and reach immortality. They describe the divine nature of the universe and the interconnectedness of all things. The ultimate goal is to see the divine in all things and break free from the cycle of karma.

The verses are layered over electronic and orchestral sounds that create a tense and dramatic atmosphere. The lyrics are sung in a repetitive and meditative way that mirrors the themes of the verses themselves. The use of Sanskrit adds an exotic and spiritual element to the song, which mirrors the themes of The Matrix films.

Overall, Don Davis's Neodämmerung is a powerful and thought-provoking song that combines ancient Hindu philosophy with modern electronic and orchestral music. It encourages listeners to question their beliefs and seek a higher consciousness beyond their physical senses and the limits of the mind.
