Could you be mind could you be mind
Why clay stars to the sky
Could you be mind could you be mind
Dont go listing your time
Dont go lusing your mind
Starlight look to the sky
Could you be mind could you be mind
Starlight look to the sky
Could you be mind could you be mind
Why clay stars to the sky
Could you be mind could you be mind
Dont go listing your time
Dont go lusing your mind
Starlight look to the sky
Could you be mind could you be mind
The lyrics to Don Diablo and Matt Nash's song Starlight are open to interpretation, but they seem to be about the singer's desire for something greater in life. The repeated phrase "look to the sky" suggests that the singer is searching for inspiration and guidance from the heavens. The line "could you be mine, could you be mine" implies that the singer is searching for a deeper connection or relationship with someone or something.
The phrase "why clay stars to the sky" is slightly mysterious, but it could be interpreted as questioning why humans try to reach for the stars or achieve greatness. The lyrics caution against losing one's time or mind to this pursuit, suggesting that the singer recognizes the danger of becoming too obsessed with ambition.
Overall, the lyrics to Starlight evoke a sense of longing and yearning for something more profound in life. The repeated refrain of "could you be mine" suggests that the singer is searching for a sense of purpose or fulfillment that may be found in the stars.

LYRICS: Starlight, look at us shine
Could you be mine
Could you be mine
White lies watching the skies
Could you be mine
Could you be mine
Don't go wasting your time
Don't go losing your mind
Starlight, look at us shine
Could you be mine
Could you be mine
Maybe all we get is this one night
Maybe we don't need next time around
Whoa..a..a..o..o
Could you be mine
Even if the stars come falling down
We can just watch 'em hit the ground
Starlight, look at us shine
Could you be mine
Could you be mine
White lies watching the skies
Could you be mine
Could you be mine
Don't go wasting your time
Don't go losing your mind
Starlight, look at us shine
Could you be mine
Could you be mine
Maybe all we get is this one night
Maybe we don't need next time around
Whoa..a..a..o..o
Could you be mine
Even if the stars come falling down
We can just watch 'em hit the ground

I’ve listened to this song obsessively for the past five years and it never gets old. It’s hard to describe what I feel with this song. Nostalgia? Melancholy? Joy? I have no idea.
