Donna Summer Lyrics

I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby

When you're laying so close to me
There's no place I'd rather you be than with me

I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby

Do it to me again and again
You put me in such a awful spin, in a spin

I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby

Lay your head down real close to me
Soothe my mind and set me free, set me free

Uh, love to love you baby
Uh, love to love you baby
Uh, love to love you baby
Uh, love to love you baby
Uh, love to love you baby
Uh, love to love you baby

When you're laying so close to me
There's no place I'd rather you be than with me

I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby

Do it to me again and again
You put me in such a awful spin, in a spin

I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby

I love to love you baby
I love to love you baby

Overall Meaning

The song "Love's Unkind" by Donna Summer is a powerful and relatable ballad about unrequited love. The lyrics tell the story of a teenage girl who has a crush on a boy in her school but he is in love with her best friend. The girl sings about how she sees him every day in the schoolyard and how she longs for him to notice her, but he never does. It is a heart-wrenching observation on the reality that sometimes the people we love don't love us back.

The girl's desperation to be with the boy is evident in her lines when she prays for the boy to notice her and to choose her as his partner for the high school dance. But sadly, he chooses her best friend, and she is left heartbroken as she runs back inside teary-eyed. The lyrics convey her deep emotions and her frustration at being left on the outside looking in.

Overall, the song is a beautiful tale of longing, unrequited love, and the struggle to come to terms with the fact that sometimes love is unkind.

That's beautiful and well deserved. I just found out the probable cause of her lung cancer was because her apt was near Ground Zero on 911. She should have lived many more years.

@MarinoTarot

I did not know that thank you!
