The name of the ba… Read Full Bio ↴The Donots formed in 1993 in Ibbenbüren, Germany.
The name of the band came into being by chance: The bassist of the band, Jan-Dirk Poggemann wanted to name the band like the pastries donuts, but he wrote the name the wrong way by mistake. The other band members liked the name, because they found their philosophy in the name (donots = do nothing, like slackers), so they retained the name. Very rarely the band calls themselves "Ibbtown Rockers" because of their provenance.
The US edition of “Wake The Dogs” features 14 new songs from the punk-veterans, plus 2 additional bonus tracks not included in the original German release, and was released on OK! Good Records.

Those thoughts that remind me of weakness
It's amiracle i've never drowned in the waves
Of mediocrity since my life's a mess
Who's to bear the responsibilities in this time?
Who am i to judge on what's bad and fine
Who's gonna tell me what to do,think, say?
Who am i anyway
Give me the head that keeps me from distraction!
Give me(thanks!)the words that lead to interaction!
Help me out, i need an connexion!
Indepedence ain't biss, to me it's a threat
I'd rather be living within chocking bounds
Freedom of choice is a state that drives me mad
So make my choices and leave me tied to the ground
But please don't leave me to my own devices
You know my my helplessness is one of my vices
Take control and pull the leash, ma friend
Clench my life
It's slipping through my hands...
(very grave and spooky?en?! anyway, it's sad to
See how many people lack the initiative
When it comes to making important
Decisions and how that affects their
Environment!
In the song Feeble by Donots, the lyrics delve into the theme of weakness and the struggles that come along with it. The opening line, "They come crawling to me every time that I feel safe" suggests that the feeling of safety may be short-lived for the singer as their "weaknesses" seem to creep up on them when they least expect it. The line "Who's to bear the responsibilities in this time?" suggests that the singer is grappling with some kind of responsibility or burden that they are expected to shoulder and is questioning what to do next. The line "Indepedence ain't bliss, to me it's a threat" further emphasises the theme of the struggle with freedom of choice and its potentially disastrous consequences.
The chorus of the song, "So give me the shoes that walk into the right direction! Give me the head that keeps me from distraction! Give me(thanks!)the words that lead to interaction! Help me out, I need a connexion!" suggests that the singer needs guidance and support from someone or something to help them navigate their way out of their predicament. The lines "But please don't leave me to my own devices. You know my helplessness is one of my vices. Take control and pull the leash, my friend. Clench my life. It's slipping through my hands..." suggest that the singer is aware of their own weakness and susceptibility to making poor decisions when left to their own devices. They seem to be yearning for someone to take control and help them make decisions to avoid further mistakes.

U.S. Government & media be like: Let's give billions of dollars to wealthy countries like Saudi Arabia & Israel, as well as already wealthy American citizens & the overspent Military Industrial Complex for no real reason.
Also U.S. Government & media: We can't afford to spend millions of dollars to help poor people in the Caribbean, Central America, the Middle East, & Southeast Asia, on top of not being able to help poor American citizens 1st.
If we cut the Military Industrial Complex budget by just 10% (including the amount we spend on overseas bases) we could fund almost every domestic program in the U.S., but too many politicians across the political spectrum don't want to do that.

They always find the money for defense contractors-i mean “war” but when it comes to American people gop “oh we can’t keep racking up the deficit”🤦♀️ yet don’t care about deficits for anything like war

A big chunk of money that goes to defense contractors goes to American's salaries. Machinists, technicians, engineers, programmers, and more all work for defense contractors.

Does anyone in the US realise what is going on in Ukraine? These days western journalists are not on the ground following the Ukranian military and witness by themselves what they see and not based on the whst they are told by the Ukrainian government. The amount of money given to Ukraine is ridiculous given the fact that it would be better spent in rebuilding the infrastructure within the US or clean up the tent cities that shock me to see how the country is now badly managed.

Couple of corrections, TYT. You keep referring to senator Joe Biden (R) as a democrat and the president. This is wrong. Our president is Joe Manchin (R).
