Holiday, Ruben Studdard and Young Steph. His unique approach to harmony and melodies has made him one of the most in-demand up and coming songwriters.
Dontae was also blessed to work with artists like Usher, One Chance, Chris Brown, Jahiem and many others. He then journeyed to LA and worked the Underdogs and the legendary Dr. Dre. His name was becoming a staple as a go-to songwriter and amazing background vocalist (Dontae background for artists like Keith Sweat amongst others) He was also routinely asked to reference other writers songs.

The chorus is a repetition of the title, where he urges his lover not to forget the memories they shared and throw it all away. He wonders how she can let their beautiful love go to waste. In the second verse, Dontae expresses his exhaustion from crying and staying up late at night, sacrificing everything for his lover. Despite trying everything to get her to stay, she never could be there. In the third verse, he reflects on all they were before, and maybe the things she said to him should have been a sign not to wait for her to change.
