The multinational corporation steals
Their health for control extension

Overall Meaning

Doom’s song “Multinationals” is a critique of the multinational corporations that exploit the countries of the third world in order to gain more wealth and control. In the first two lines of the song, Doom describes how multinational corporations steal the wealth of third world countries and store it in grain mountains, which is a metaphor for hoarding and accumulating resources. This line emphasizes how multinational corporations are willing to take resources from third world countries, leaving little to no resources for the people of those countries, in order to benefit themselves.

The second two lines of the song focus on how multinational corporations steal the health of third world countries in order to extend and maintain their control. This line draws attention to how multinational corporations prioritize their own profit over the welfare of the people of third world countries. By stealing health, multinational corporations are able to extend their control over these countries, making it more difficult for people to resist further exploitation.

In summary, Doom’s “Multinationals” critiques the way that multinational corporations exploit third world countries for their own benefit, taking valuable resources and endangering the health and wellbeing of the people who live there.
