Zombi Powder
Dopethrone Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Don't bury me
I'm not dead
Buried alive
Saved by the priest
Zombi powder

Undead servant
Arise arise arise
Arise arise arise

(Julie's Incantations)

I've become
Undead
Trapped in this darkness

Slave to the craving
Come and join us

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Dopethrone's song Zombi Powder seem to be about someone who is buried alive, but manages to stay alive through the use of zombi powder. The undead servant is calling for others to join them in their state of undeadness. The singer seems to be trapped in the darkness of their new existence, unable to resist the craving that comes with being undead.

The opening lines of the song, "Don't bury me, I'm not dead. Buried alive, saved by the priest," suggest that the singer has been buried alive by mistake, but was able to be resurrected through the use of some kind of zombi powder. The lyrics "Zombi powder, undead servant, arise arise arise," reinforce the idea that the singer is now undead and calling for others to join them.

The line "trapped in this darkness, slave to the craving" suggests that being undead is not a desirable state and that the singer is struggling to maintain their free will. However, the final line "come and join us" seems to suggest that the singer does not want to be alone in their undead state and is calling for others to take up the same fate.

Overall, the lyrics of Zombi Powder paint a dark and macabre picture of the consequences of using a mysterious powder to cheat death and come back to life as an undead servant.

That riff is just sick. Another not so well known band similar to this is Slowjoint.

ZAY HERTZ-DEEPREST

I like my sludge/doom with evil vocals, too many clean vocaled bands labeled "sludge"

My favorite band at the moment. Stoner Metal.

ZAY HERTZ-DEEPREST

I don't know how some doom vocalists don't fall asleep on stage, with 14 to 72 (longest song I know of) minute songs.  So long and spellbining, trance inducing

Anita Meow

3:33 to about 4:50 is my favs, mega as. their vocalist sounds like gollum.
