No Not One

No not one- No not one
None else can heal all our soul's diseases
No not one- No not one
Jesus knows all about our struggles
He will guide until the day is done
Not my mother not my father
Can do me like Jesus can
No not one- No not one
He is there all the time
He's Emmanuel all the time
Angel watching over me
(REPEAT)
I've got an angel watching me
Keeping me from all harm and danger
Angel watching over me
The song "No Not One" by Dorinda Clark-Cole celebrates the unmatched power, love, and grace of Jesus Christ. The first two lines declare that there is no friend like Jesus. The repetition of "No not one- No not one" reinforces this statement. The next line "None else can heal all our soul's diseases" points to Jesus as the ultimate source of healing for all spiritual needs. He is the only one who can lift the weight of sin and shame from our souls.
The second verse acknowledges the struggles of life and the need for guidance beyond what human relationships can offer. While family and friends can support and encourage, only Jesus knows all about our struggles and can guide us until the day is done. The chorus affirms that Jesus is incomparable in His ability to save, heal, and empower. He is greater than any earthly source of love and protection.
