Que sera sera
Doris Day Lyrics

When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother, what will I be
Will I be pretty? Will I be rich?
Here's what she said to me

Qué será, será
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Qué será, será
What will be, will be

When I grew up and fell in love
I asked my sweetheart what lies ahead?
Will we have rainbows day after day?
Here's what my sweetheart said

Qué será, será
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Qué será, será
What will be, will be

Now I have children of my own
They ask their mother, what will I be
Will I be handsome? Will I be rich?
I tell them tenderly

Qué será, será
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Qué será, será
What will be, will be
Qué será, será

My Mom and I sang this when I was little, while we danced around the house. I still love listening to Doris Day.

I use to sing this song to my girls, when they were babies. I'd replace Que Sera, sera with their name. Que Sheree and Que Shayla. We still sing it together, after 30 yrs, and now their my grandchild sing a long. Moments that take your breath away.

Best memories ever as a kid of the 60's. We never even knew the lyrics were of Spanish origin! We watched the TV show religiously. Ms Day you will be so happy to know how many people out here still love your work. A time we will never see again.
