Three Coins in the Fountain
Doris Day Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Three coins in a fountain
Each one seeking happiness
Thrown by three hopeful lovers
Which one will the fountain bless?

Three hearts in a fountain
Each heart longing for its home
There they lie in the fountain
Somewhere in the heart of Rome

Which one will the fountain bless?
Which one will the fountain bless?

Three coins in a fountain
Through the ripples, how they shine
Just one wish will be granted
One heart will wear a Valentine

Make it mine

Make it mine
Make it mine

Doris Day can sing any song we would like to listen to. Retired as she is, she will keep shining as a great icon of jazz vocalists. May she live long enough to celebrate her centennial birthday.

Sorry mate, but we were close to 2022 for her centenary, still a great singer regardless
