That's one thing I always learned from Albertina. She never was out for the shine. Even tho she sang the song, she still even gave the mic to Dorothy to sing. Very humble and I know shes got many jewels in her crowns to lay at Jesus' feet!

You are so right, she was always praising the Lord. Of all of the caravans, she is my favorite. Most of their Independent music I can't listen to. But I can listen to 3-4 of ms. Albertinas songs. She went on in, but what a life well lived.

I'm only 30 years old and for the past year now, I've gotten a deep fascination to learn more and more about Albetina. I can now sing her songs word after word...I've watched so many of her live recordings and read alot about her online.
Something about Albertina just draws and maintain my attention. This year 2021, I'll be taking a trip to Chicago for the first time ever just to visit her grave and hopefully get to see the church she grew up in! I am overwhelmed with excitement and anticipation. I wish I had the opportunity to have met such a beautiful lady inside and out!
