Klinghoffer, Walsh and Gardner were all previously members of the touring incarnation of Gnarls Barkley, and were subsequently joined by Hella bassist Jonathan Hischke to create Dot Hacker. Prior to Klinghoffer joining the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the band recorded its debut album, Inhibition, which was released in 2012.

This stuff is fucking incredible. I already have four tracks by Dot Hacker (saved as converted YouTube vids) on my iPod; they've been on there for a few months... pretty much from the moment I discovered them. When I started to listen to their songs for the first time I found such a connection with the music that I dared not play all of the dogs straight away. I wanted to savour every second. Does that make sense? Instantly they became one of my all time favourite bands of all time.

They should be huge stars with big concerts and a lot of albums. This music is absolutely amazing. I can't believe that tickets for their concerts cost only about 15$. Only 15$ for my biggest dream... I have to move to LA :'(
