Thanks Doug! That's high praise coming from you. I refer students here in NYC to your excellent tutorials. Check out my old teacher, Sanford Gold, doing "Sentimental Mood". I posted it on You Tube. He was a wild guy and great teacher. He and Tatum lived together for a time.

Hi Doug, I am so impressed not only of your wonderful playing but also of the beautiful piano sound coming out from my loud speakers on this one. Have you changed your piano sound on your Yamaha? You mention the new video and audio recording possibilities of Youtube. Is there anything I have missed in Youtube? Maybe when you have time you could write me a few lines about that via e-mail. As Fede4real said us kitties listening is for me the best and makes me understand lots of stuff . As he said borrow chords learn to utilize them I was born in a jazz world and when I write a song many without my knowing are jazz so Lucky I am and Lucky to have found you M.Mckenzie thank you for the quality of playing real treat>>>>>

Thanks again Bruno for your support. I have not done anything special with this one - it is the same Yamaha sound that I have used on other videos - and the same sound as you use on your excellent videos! Maybe I just got the levels right in recording it. Youtube have certainly improved the quality of both audio and video since I did the original recording! Doug

I am all mixed up about finding the proper scales, arpeggios, etc. for improvisation over chords and have spent hours trying to find it without any good result. Even though I will consider myself always as a piano/guitar beginner I want to improve my performance over jazz standards/ bossa n. songs. If you can, please, I am needing just a simple tool/guide to sart with, or at least your best advice. I am 63 and not lazy at all. Thanks so much for your kind attention and patience.
