Breakfast
Dove Cameron Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Your smoke in my hair
Hot and dirty like the L.A. air
That face, baby, it ain't fair
But you don't know what you don't know
What you don't know, uh

Ooh-ooh, so you wanna talk about power?
Ooh-ooh, let me show you power

I eat boys like you for breakfast
One by one hung on my necklace
And they'll always be mine
It makes me feel alive
I eat boys like you for breakfast
And I know that you tried your bestest
I never said it's right
But I'm gonna keep doing it

I'm sick, yeah, I'm sick
And honestly, I'm getting high off it
Do you wanna see a magic trick?
'Cause you don't know what you don't know
But I know

Ooh-ooh, so you wanna talk about power?
Ooh-ooh, let me show you power

I eat boys like you for breakfast
One by one hung on my necklace
And they'll always be mine
It makes me feel alive
I eat boys like you for breakfast
And I know that you tried your bestest
I never said it's right
But I'm gonna keep doing it

I eat boys, I eat boys
I eat boys, I eat boys

Your smoke in my hair
Hot and dirty like the L.A. air
That face, baby, it ain't fair
But you don't know what you don't know
What you don't know

I eat boys like you for breakfast
One by one hung on my necklace
And they'll always be mine
It makes me feel alive
I eat boys like you for breakfast
And I know that you tried your bestest
I never said it's right
But I'm gonna keep doing it

Overall Meaning

The song "Breakfast" by Dove Cameron is a sensual and bold track. The lyrics depict a person who is in control and takes pride in being the powerful one in a relationship. The song opens with a vivid image of someone's smoke in her hair, which is hot and dirty just like the air in Los Angeles. This sets up the theme of the song as something sensual and seductive. The person being addressed has a face that is so attractive that it's unfair, and yet they don't know what they don't know. The singer implies that she is the one in charge.

Later on, the song gets more explicit with lines like "I eat boys like you for breakfast," which suggests that she enjoys devouring men for power and pleasure. The singer compares the men to necklaces, implying that they are possessions that she owns. She takes pride in her ability to control men and how it makes her feel alive. The chorus repeats these lines, emphasizing the power the singer has in the relationship.

In the bridge, Dove Cameron reveals that she is sick but also getting high off it. She also offers to show her partner a "magic trick," which could suggest that she's going to further demonstrate her power. She acknowledges that it might not be right, but she's going to keep doing it anyway.

Overall, "Breakfast" portrays a woman who is confident and unapologetic about taking control in the relationship. The song is an interesting commentary on gender roles and power dynamics in relationships.

@just here for fun
Untrue, because most abortions are not because of r@pe and nobody is forcing women to do anything maybe just maybe, accountability
Is the end goal of this decision women should be responsible and
Not go around getting pregnant
With some asshole who doesn't care about them, and men need to stay
With their partner and not run away.
Foster cares and two parent homes
In general can be horrific from abuse SA and being neglected it's not
Anything different in that regard
I personally think if people don't want a child don't get pregnant
People have the ability to do that
Women don't automatically get
Pregnant with no warning unless
They've had relations with another
Person which is why I'm saying
Responsibility needs to come
Into play instead of blaming
Men or the government how
About blaming oneself??
That's the hardest thing
For both genders to do
Is admit ones fault in a situation.

I was gender shamed in legally in a crime I didn't have knowledge, intent, or malice action upon any party. Legally, per the constitution, I was (still is) innocent due to lack of education and miscommunication that caused the event that I didn't knowingly, intently, or take action to the purpose of doing it. Ask the girl that went by "Josie" with the "Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court" that held a grudge that I was (still is) legally correct of being not guilty. Also, on abortion with that "promise" with "Josie," yes it is still "at risk" with the laws provided but it does follow the route you did mention if you can remember, or I might as well leave a hint here:

Equal protection of the several states proven:

- State as it equates to equivalent equalities "from, in, and to" all person(s) as equally protected. Fourteenth amendment as it is mentioned in the constitution.

- Non-liability is a form of protection.

- Going from one state to the next within basic terms, only to be diminished in terms by non-upholding within jurisdiction. This does include not knowing of enforcement too due to basic rights of person(s) regardless of claims of another state (due to the eleventh for organizations not person(s)).

- Even with Article Four due to the fourteenth overriding.

- Also, as jurisdictional changes occur at all levels of government between bodies.

The link should have three documents which does partially include more about the "work-arounds."

Take this as it is, not by opinion, if you get the hinted level of the constitution.

The concept of this video...... exactly the message that our society needs to hear. When the roles are reversed, everything wrong about it becomes more obvious. Reminds me of the kind of fiction books I write. Hopefully the more people will see the disparity between genders, the more they will prone equality instead.

For what i received i passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the scriptures 1 Corinthians 15 3

The fact that it looks so “wrong” is the fact that it is so beautifully portrayed. I love this woman

The point is to make a false narrative.
