Until Man Exists No More
Dozer Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

This might make me strong,
I’ll grow weak in the end.
Determined to wear me down
they cannot wait to begin.
I’m bound to baged and then planted again, oh no…

So why behave…
in civil ways…
Cause so much’s at stake…
and you still can break…

Tide nor time tarrieth no Man,
The battle is won, but we have lost the war…
Beyond the shadows I crawl, ‘neath the stench… of dying men…

From the eternal sea that he rises,
Creating armies on either shore,

Turning Man against his brother
‘till Man exists no more… no more

Overall Meaning

The opening lines imply that the singer is facing a challenge that may strengthen them, but ultimately lead to their weakness. The following lines suggest that someone or something is out to wear the singer down, eager to start the process. The line "I'm bound to baged and then planted again" suggests that the singer may feel trapped in a cycle of struggle and defeat.

The following lines "So why behave… in civil ways…" can be interpreted as the singer questioning why they should act in a peaceful or reasonable manner when so much is at risk, and they can still be broken despite doing so. The following lines "Tide nor time tarrieth no Man,/The battle is won, but we have lost the war…" reflects on the fleeting nature of time and how despite winning individual battles or triumphs, the ultimate war may still be lost.

The final lines "From the eternal sea that he rises,/Creating armies on either shore,/Turning Man against his brother/'till Man exists no more… no more" are a reference to the apocalyptic biblical Book of Revelation, describing the arrival of the Antichrist, who creates armies and leads them in a war against humanity. The lyrics suggest that the Antichrist's influence will cause brother to turn against brother, resulting in the ultimate destruction of mankind.
