1) Dr. Acula was a deathcore band from Long Island, New York. The band's name comes from a joke written by stand-up comedian Mitch Hedberg. Most of their earlier songs are named after books in R.L. Stine's GOOSEBUMPS series. Dr. Acula formed in September 2005 and quickly accumulated a following thanks to non-stop DIY touring, energetic performances, and not taking themselves too seriously.
They self-released their first recording, Chillogy EP, in 2006. Early copies were packaged inside Goosebumps books from their personal collection. Their first full-length "S.L.O.B" (Silver-Lipped Operator of Bullshit) was self-released in 2007, and later reissued by 187 Records.
In April 2008, Dr. Acula signed to Uprising Records. The band released their second full-length album, titled "Below Me!", with producer Jamie King (Through The Eyes Of The Dead, Between the Buried and Me). It was released July 22, 2008.
In April 2010, Dr. Acula released "The Social Event of The Century", which brought a different sound compared to their earlier album titled "Below Me!". Since releasing "The Social Event of The Century", Dr. Acula has toured with bands such as Molotov Solution, I Declare War, Monsters, Attila, Blind Witness, and more. They also have signed to Victory Records, where they released their fourth album "Slander" on February 15th, 2011
In October 2012, the band decided to call it quits. They are gonna play their last shows in Canada & Australia in 2013.
As of September 2019, Dr. Acula has since reformed with the original lineup and released the single "Egg Monsters From Mars" on December 5th, 2019
2) Dr. Acula was the original name of the band Bear vs. Shark. They released one EP under this name in 2001. Then switched to Bear vs. Shark which they are more commonly known as.
Party
Dr. Acula Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
This is how we party so fuck off.
This is how we party so fuck off.
I raise my drink in the air, cuz I'm way to drunk to care.
Pass out and bottoms up, call the girls who wanna fuck.
This is how we party so fuck off.
This is how we party so fuck off.
So fuck you all
The lyrics of Dr. Acula's song "Party" celebrate reckless partying and a carefree, devil-may-care attitude. The opening lines set a confrontational tone, telling listeners who might disapprove of their partying lifestyle to "fuck off." The chorus repeats the title phrase, emphasizing the band's commitment to having a good time no matter what anyone else thinks. The verses describe typical party activities like drinking and hooking up with girls, with the singer boasting about his drunkenness and disregard for consequences. The final line of the chorus, "So fuck you all," doubles down on the band's defiant stance, rejecting any criticism or judgement.
