Miracles
Dr. Duane Spencer Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Tell me now
Just tell me what you see
If you believe in miracles
And dreams
You can make it real

Into the night
Shadows of light
Leading the way
Showing us how
We can open our eyes
Nowhere to turn
Lessons to learn
Teaching us how
We can play this game

No one can break the spell
But many have tried
Be strong you're not alone
Don't ever say die
You must believe
Believe and carry on

Tell me now
Just tell me what you see
If you believe in miracles
And dreams
You can make it real
Say what you will
All that you feel
Then you'll find the
Answers to the questions
That you always knew
Give it sometime
Leave it behind
All of your fears
You need to open your mind

No one can break the spell
But many have tried
Be strong you're not alone
Don't ever say die
You must believe
Believe and carry on

Tell me now
Just tell me what you see
If you believe in miracles
If you believe in miracles
If you believe in miracles
And dreams

We can make it real
We can make it real
We can make it real
We can make it real, oh yeah

We can make it real
We can make it real

We can make it real
We can make it real

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Dr. Duane Spencer's song “Miracles” seem to be about the power of belief and perseverance. The song speaks to the idea that if you truly believe in something and work towards it, you can make it a reality. The opening lines implore the listener to share what they see and ask if they believe in miracles and dreams. It's a call to action that suggests that if you hold onto your hopes and fight towards your goals, you can achieve anything.

The chorus serves as a reminder to believe in oneself and not give up, no matter what obstacles you may face. The idea that no one can break the spell reinforces the concept that you have the power to make your dreams come true. While many may try to hold you back or push you down, you must remain strong and believe in yourself.

The song's lyrics suggest that the path towards achieving a dream may not always be easy, and there may be lessons to learn. However, it's essential to keep pushing forward and keep the faith. “Miracles” is a reminder that anything is possible if you have the strength, the perseverance, and the belief to make it happen.

Brother Duane says, "Like the religious but lost Jews who sought the death of Christ, the reprobate of our time continue to require a sign of God for they simply will not take His word for anything. Their empty, lost condition, is signified by the fact they seek spiritual baptisms that they can feel and lust after signs that they can see. They ever look for, they never find, the emotional experience which enables them to simply rest upon the word of God despite the fact that His word declares that the gift of miracles, healings and tongues is over." NOTE: in addition to these false miracles which Satan performs today in the Charismatic gospel Satan also performs another false miracle called decisional regeneration, whereby many professing Christians think they are saved because of something they did such as saying a "sinner's prayer" or going forward at an altar call or being baptized by water or joining a local church. Satan is very clever in bringing many false gospels that have men and pastors thinking that salvation is something of their own ability. Jesus said "without me you can do NOTHING" (John 15:5) and "this is the work of God that you believe." (John 6:29)

Brother Carlton ....you are misled, too, my friend. You think the Gifts of the Spirit are over? No, what's lacking is faith. And obedience. You must be a Baptist. I heard this same baloney the other day... Randy S
