Do You Love Me?
Dr. Michael Lee Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
and dot my i’s
do whatever you think’s right
getting press, flashing lights
hair’s a mess, publicized
worldly pleasures is my game
hit bump shot
it all feels the same
i hit the crack
on union street doing jumping jacks
(looking a fool baby)
but do you love me love me
love me you’re gonna kill me
love me love me
do you love me love me
but do you love me love me
love me you’re gonna kill me
love me love me
do you love me love me
empty smiles
greed and lies
friendships fake, ill advised
realness has to come in play
nip, tuck and stitch , watch what you say
throw my hands up to the sky
asking why lord, why lord
why lord why
but do you love me love me
love me you’re gonna kill me
love me love me
do you love me love me
but do you love me love me
love me you’re gonna kill me
love me love me
do you love me love me
this is crazy and amazing
because I feel like a baby
somebody call my mama please
and tell her to come get me
but do you love me love me
love me you’re gonna kill me
love me love me
do you love me love me
but do you love me love me
love me you’re gonna kill me
love me love me
do you love me love me
The lyrics of "Do You Love Me?" by Dr. Michael Lee revolve around the themes of desperation, loneliness, and the desire for love and acceptance. The song starts with the singer declaring that he will do everything right, including crossing his T's and dotting his I's. However, he is constantly chasing worldly pleasures, such as getting press, flashing lights, and engaging in drugs on the streets. Despite this, he is in search of genuine love and affection, asking the question repeatedly throughout the song.
The next part of the song touches on the emptiness of the singer's current situation. He realizes that his friendships are fake, and he is surrounded by greed and lies. In contrast, he longs for something genuine and true. He reflects on the idea of realness coming into play and the importance of being authentic. Towards the end of the song, the singer becomes vulnerable, expressing that this whole situation is making him feel like a baby. He ends by begging for love and acceptance and desperately asking if someone will love him.
Overall, the lyrics of "Do You Love Me?" convey the message of despair and the search for genuine love and acceptance. It highlights the shallowness of worldly pleasures and the importance of being true to oneself.

His wife is so wonderfully great & patient with him, pushing him but letting him feel in control. And the way that instructor was with him was beyond perfect & exactly what he needed. He's gonna do this!

Hello 🤗👋
@megandrehr3420
Exactly. She doesn't seem like she ever gets aggravated. And for the instructor to not look down on him for being big is just more positivity pushing him in the right direction
@olivia6063
Yes this woman is a wonderful wife. I really liked her when I watched this episode.
@thearough
No its not normal
@colettelongo2080
Supportive? Lol she treats him like a baby. Patronizing.

you guys don’t realize how hard and draining it is to constantly be so positive and uplifting for other people when they don’t do it for themselves. to me i hope the wife communicates when she needs him to support her emotionally too.

Treat a man like a man, what are his PLANS FOR BECOMMING A PRODUCTIVE MEMBER OF SOCIETY? for supporting the son he and she brought into the world. You think our fathers felt like going to work in the rain, the snow and cold the heat of the summer? Why should their son not have that?
@elizabethsnirvana
@Marilyn Willett idk about all that but he seems like I’ll get tired from being around him after 5 minutes. It’s just not for me.
@getin3949
It IS draining, I've been doing it for years and I get NO support back.
