At home he did many and wild experiments - first with guitar, Casio, tape-recorder and echo-machine, later with bass and organ too. With bands he tried to express himself in Punk, Garage-Rock, Beat, Dark Wave, Alternative, Surf, Polka, Dub, Pop and Noise. Little by little Dr.Nojoke purchased equipment for building-up a homestudio. Together with the project elektroblitz mitte he produced three film- and seven theatre-soundtracks. He oriented himself towards electronic music/production and was active under the pseudonym Dr.Nojoke for the first time in 1999. Since then he organised and carried out performances in galleries, clubs, festivals and other places. He finds the beauty inside the shredded pixels and beats of the digital world.
After his first self-productions Die Hypnokommode and Flub-Dubs 1 and 2 Dr.Nojoke released his first album Flucht nach Barbylon in December 2004 on the label phonector. The second album Barbylon Tapes II followed in February 2006, also on phonector.
Since 2005 Dr.Nojoke has been working on technoid sound-sculptures based on his archive of self-made recordings he collected over the last years. He defines a deep, funky-minimal, dark-textural micro-cut-up-music, he calls Clikno.
In March 2006 the netlabel Direktschall released a four-track mp3-EP with the title cliknologic.
Live he performs and improvises with laptop, mouth harp, whistle pipe, radio, Kaoss-pad and sometimes the drummer Kersten Ginsberg, who was taught by Jaki Liebezeit (Can).

If you stare well you might go blind
Feelings are fine when they're fun
If they're bad well you might just die
Hang up the phone there's still meat on the bone
Don't you know you got a lesson to learn?
I'm pulling you out of the blue
A-B-C A-B-C
Eating's no good if you choke on your food
So you chew it slow
Sleeping's the best if you rest
If you don't then you're in the dark
Hang up the phone there's still meat on the bone
Don't you know you got a lesson to learn?
I'm pulling you out of the blue
You can take a clue and begin with the A-B-Cs
Robins and whales
Tying dog's tails
The streets can talk so
You should listen
'Cause tonight you might be on your own
Robins and whales
Tying dog's tails
The streets can talk so
You should listen
'Cause tonight you might be on your own
Yeah tonight you might be all alone
If you don't know anything
It's alright if you don't think so
'Cause dying's like hanging around
At a funeral that no one goes to
Hang up the phone there's still meat on the bone
Don't you know you got a lesson to learn?
I'm pulling you out of the blue
You can take a clue and begin with the A-B-Cs
A-B-C A-B-C
Robins and whales
Tying dog's tails
The streets can talk so
You should listen
'Cause tonight you might be on your own
Yeah robins and whales
Tying dog's tails
The streets can talk so
You should listen
'Cause tonight you might be on your own
Yeah tonight you might be all alone
The lyrics to Dr. Nojoke's song "ABC" are a mix of cautionary advice and reminders to take life one step at a time. The opening lines "Glaring is nice at the sun, if you stare well you might go blind" suggest that enjoying life's pleasures is fine, but moderation is key. The next line "Feelings are fine when they're fun, if they're bad well you might just die" emphasizes the importance of being aware of and managing one's emotions. The chorus "Hang up the phone there's still meat on the bone, don't you know you got a lesson to learn" reminds us that we have work to do and that life is a journey of continuous learning. The line "You can take a clue and begin with the A-B-Cs" suggests that we should start with the basics and focus on building a strong foundation.
The second verse focuses on self-care, with the lines "Eating's no good if you choke on your food, so you chew it slow" and "Sleeping's the best if you rest, if you don't then you're in the dark". The third verse talks about paying attention to one's surroundings and being vigilant, with the lines "Robins and whales, tying dog's tails, the streets can talk so you should listen, 'cause tonight you might be on your own. Yeah, tonight you might be all alone". The final verse suggests that it's okay to not have it all figured out, stating "If you don't know anything, it's alright if you don't think so, 'cause dying's like hanging around at a funeral that no one goes to".
Overall, the lyrics in "ABC" highlight the importance of being mindful of our actions, emotions, and surroundings, while also recognizing that life is a continuous journey of learning and growth.
