Fever
Dr. Ring-Ding & The Senior Allstars Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
We'll see if we'll make it through
Declared a state of emergency
Visionaries take a stand in times of urgency
And I have lost concentration
Trying to make it while they're starting a war
And I am feeling frustration
This may seem like lunacy
So sentimental, it's escaping me
In praise of gods new and old
My ramblings have turned into a pile of gold
And I have lost concentration
Trying to make it while they're starting a war
And I am feeling frustration
Have we said it all?
Is there room for originality?
Is there a place that we could call a home?
We're confined and surrounded
by wonderful mountains
And now we'll bring the flood
In Dr. Ring-Ding's "Fever" song, the lyrics depict a world in turmoil as the visionary tries to find a way to survive amidst the state of emergency. The sense of solitude is palpable, with the singer feeling lost and frustrated as the world around them is at war. The song is a call for originality and portrays the artists' desire for a world where they can call home, and not feel confined and surrounded by a crisis.
The lyrics highlight stories from across the globe where we see ourselves compared to the man in the arena. The artist calls for visionary leaders to stand up in times of urgency and invoke change amidst the global turmoil. The song captures the essence of the times we find ourselves in, and brings attention to the voiceless who are trying to find their place in a world that seems to be drowning.
