Fly Away
Dr. Sin Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

No, don't wanna
Bring you down
It's lurking all around
Nobody knows what lies
Behind the door
All that I've seen
I can't take it anymore
Living and dying, loving
And hating
(I will show you)
Look on the other side
Living and dying, loving
And hating (take my hand)
Just searching fora sign

Fly away, through
Another day
All the sorrows fade
Time will heal any
Pain you feel
Just fly away

No, no way we're
Looking back
Believe me that's a fact

Who do we blame when
Nothing is left to say

Always the same when no
One gives a damm

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Dr. Sin's song "Fly Away" speak to the struggle of experiencing the ups and downs of life. The song begins with the notion that one doesn't want to bring anyone down as negativity and the unknown loom around us all. The lyrics seem to depict a sense of feeling overwhelmed and unable to continue seeing the negative sides of things. The singer of the song is tired of living life and going through both the good and bad moments that come along. The lyrics mention that some things are unknown, and there's no telling what is behind various closed doors. All that the singer has seen and experienced has led to a feeling of not being able to take it anymore.

The passages that speak of living and dying, loving and hating, emphasize how some things seem polarizing and are a part of human existence. The chorus is the hopeful part of the song, where it encourages the listener to fly away with a message of feeling the sorrows fade away with time if one allows them to. The chorus also speaks to the notion that any pain that one feels can heal and that it's essential to search and look for the signs that lead to positivity. The song ends with wondering who to blame when nothing is left to say and stresses the idea that it's crucial to keep moving forward.
