Dr Sid's "Something About You" is a love song that speaks to the overwhelming feeling one gets when they meet that special person. It delves into the idea that there is something unique and magnetic about this particular person that sets them apart from everyone else in the world. The song starts with the singer describing the inexplicable attraction he feels towards the girl. He talks about how he has been around the world, seen many girls but cannot find the same kind of love that this girl possesses. He mentions her eyes, smile, touch, and her overall persona as the elements that drew him to her.
The first verse emphasizes how the girl has affected the singer and how he cannot do without her love. He expresses the fear of losing her and becoming confused at the thought of no longer having her. In the second verse, the singer expresses his commitment to her and how he is willing to drop his past to make her his. He speaks of their future together, how they will have children who will be different from olodo (foolish) and that he will never cheat or deceive her.
The chorus reaffirms how there is something special about the girl, the way she loves him and how he cannot find it anywhere else. The song ends with a repeat of the chorus, emphasizing the depth of their connection.
