Privileged Rappers
Drake Lyrics

Whoa, whoa, yeah
Look at me dead in my eyes, I know that you know that a nigga ain't lyin'
Too much respect, all of my shawty BDs, they know not to try it
Too much respect, I used to hand out CDs before they would buy it
Whoa, she love me so much, it seem like she biased
Niggas don't know how I live, but that's 'cause they live at the Hyatt, ayy
4L step team steppin' on shit 'til it's quiet
He brought me the money sealed up, I still had to count it, I cannot just eye it

Whoa, whoa, whoa
Yeah, let's have sex in the bank, tell 'em to open the safe
I hate a privileged rapper who don't even know what it take
The diamonds, they hit like a rainbow, that's 'cause the necklace a Frank (purr)
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Yeah, let's have sex in the Nines (let's do it)
Breakin' and bendin' her spine (let's do it, let's do it)
I hate a privileged rapper that ain't had a hit since he signed (let's do it)
Niggas be full of excuses, act like they takin' they time (for real, for real)

Whoa, whoa, whoa
Look at me dead in my eyes, you see all the times that I had to go slide (21)
Too many sticks, we go to war with whoever, ain't never been biased (pussy)
Too many sticks, how was they your opps and none of 'em died? (pussy)
Hol' up (21), hol' up (21), hol' up (21)
Why you pull up at one in the morning and sit on the edge of the bed? (For what?)
Textin' emojis, tongue out, eggplant, must've went over her head (21)
Catch him outside of the studio (pussy), make him repeat what he said (pussy, pussy)
Yeah, yeah, let's have sex in the car (on God)
The Maybach came with a bar (21)
I'm wipin' my dick with her bra (21, pew, pew, pew)
Sniped his ass, he got hit in the head from far (pussy)
Opps gets undivided attention, I give them my all (on God)
How you come over to the spot when you know it's your time of the month? (How?)
Make a diss and see how fast you go from the booth to a blunt (pussy)
She say she hungry, I gave her dick for brunch (on God)
Send me my whole fee, I don't do backends and fronts (21)

No, no, no
Let's have sex in the bank, tell 'em to open the safe
I hate a privileged rapper who don't even know what it take
The diamonds, they hit like a rainbow, that's 'cause the necklace a Frank (purr)
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Yeah, let's have sex in the Nines (let's do it)
Breakin' and bendin' her spine (let's do it, let's do it)
I hate a privileged rapper that ain't had a hit since he signed (let's do it)
Niggas be full of excuses, act like they takin' they time (for real, for real)

“I hate a privileged rapper who don’t know what it take..”
This line hits because we ALL know that somebody in life always complaining, always talking about wanting more, doing more, always got negative digs or jealous comments when they see you shining..because they won’t put the work in like you do..they just be blaming everyone but themselves..

Song stays on repeat 🔁

An example of what life can become if you surround yourself with the right mentors. I am sure 21 sees Drake as a mentor and look what the advice has done for his career. If this was the NBA he would definitely take home the "Most Improved Player" award.

@imhighoncookies Bro, I get what you're trying to say but you're missing like 10 factors in this argument. Regardless of how he got there, we are still talking about a light skinned Jewish TV actor being the face of Hip Hop and the highest streamed artist for 10+ years. Connections can get you there but they won't sustain you. You have to be talented and work hard to do that. That is more of what he means by privileged rappers. A lot of people get there then they blow their opportunities because they don't know what it takes. And like @PaulieB201 said, I just don't think you're familiar with Drakes story.

@imhighoncookies Yea I can tell you don't know drakes story but. Just off the fact you said "Signed by wayne and having millions behind him" like shit just happened in a blink of a eye. You do know Wayne didn't even wanna fuck with Drake when Jaz first brought the situation to him? Also J prince didn't see the Drake vision either not to mention pretty much every label brushed him off because they just didn't see a black Jewish kid from the suburbs of Canada becoming anything much in the rap game. It took Jaz breaking some rules and being persistent af for wayne to finally hear Drake on a rnb song and want to work with and sign dude. And as far as his life growing up. Yea he didn't have it super crazy tough as someone who grew up extremely poor in the hood but he grew up barely getting by in a wealthy area which has its own cons.
