DreamDoll first rose to prominence through Instagram, having attained a hundred thousand followers through her modeling and bartending in New York City clubs. After signing on for Oxygen's Bad Girls Club, her appearance sparked controversy, helping her following count rise by over 500,000. Shortly after Bad Girls Club, she signed to DJ Self's record label Gwinin Entertainment, where she worked on launching a rap music career. Her first single Everything Nice was released on May 12, 2017 and attained over 5 million streams across all streaming platforms. Her first EP Life in Plastic was released on September 20, 2017 and peaked top 20 on the iTunes Hip-Hop albums chart.
