After being marketed in different countries under various different names, the band opted to go with Dream Command for 1990's Fire on the Moon, which their Record Label at the time: Island Records ended up releasing in the United States and Holland only. Shortly afterward the band temporarily disbanded. The members would re-group a couple years later and return to making music for themselves rather than their label.
Ice Sculpture

I suppose I was hypnotized
I took a hint
And built it all up in my mind
I thought we were dealing
In diamonds and pearls
Now the sparkle is gone
Ice sculpture melts
But I won't forget you, girl
I looked at my watch
Then I looked in your eyes
Some vague design
Started to crystallize
I thought that we had
All the time in the world
But the colours have run
And the weather has turned
Ice sculpture melts
But I won't forget you, girl
The lyrics of Dream Command's "Ice Sculpture" tell a tale of a relationship that has lost its luster. The singer reflects on a time when they were infatuated with their partner, describing themselves as hypnotized by their beauty. They had high hopes for the relationship, expecting diamonds and pearls. However, as time went on, the attraction faded away, and they began to see the cracks in the relationship. The initial sparkle disappeared, leaving behind only a blurred outline.
The singer compares their relationship to an ice sculpture, something beautiful and temporary, much like a fleeting romance. As the sculpture melts away, the memories of the relationship remain, and they promise not to forget the person they once loved. However, they are also aware that time is running out, and they can feel the relationship slipping away from them. The singer tries to hold on to the memories of their partner, using them as a source of comfort as they face the inevitable end.
Ultimately, "Ice Sculpture" is a poignant reflection on the transience of relationships. Even though they may start off strong, they can fade away over time, leaving behind only memories that are just as fragile as an ice sculpture.
