After being marketed in different countries under various different names, the band opted to go with Dream Command for 1990's Fire on the Moon, which their Record Label at the time: Island Records ended up releasing in the United States and Holland only. Shortly afterward the band temporarily disbanded. The members would re-group a couple years later and return to making music for themselves rather than their label.

That's my fanfare, my calling card
A run of bad luck, darkness at noon
I don't need the password to get to you
I'm a Venus Hunter
From another world
10000 years
Burning petrol in my brain
What I called love you call insane
Some try wishing upon a star
Some try running they don't get far
I'm a Venus Hunter
From another world
10000 years
Since I've seen a girl
The song "Venus Hunter" by Dream Command can be interpreted in different ways. It could be seen as a story about an alien or someone from a different world that is searching for love, specifically a girl. The lyrics describe the character's fanfare, which could be the signal or means of arrival to our world. The first two lines state that when the day breaks and falls apart, it is their calling card. This may indicate that the character is only able to visit our world in certain circumstances.
The following verse "A run of bad luck, darkness at noon, I don't need the password to get to you" could represent that the character has been having some challenges trying to get to the girl they seek, but they know their way around and do not need help. The chorus "I'm a Venus Hunter from another world, 10000 years since I've seen a girl" reveals the main theme of the song. The character is an alien who has been away from their planet for a very long time and has not seen anyone of their kind, especially a girl.
The next verse "Burning petrol in my brain, what I called love you call insane, some try wishing upon a star, some try running they don't get far" could mean that the character is doing all they can to find love and the girl they seek, but it is not easy. Some people may think they are crazy, and others might try to escape because they are afraid of the unknown.
