I'm 18 years old and I cried, and this is really the only song that
can make me cry. I just think about my father, and all the love he
gave, but I didn't show it back to him, instead I just didn't show him
respect and yelled at him and made him feel uncomfortable and unloved by
me, and the same goes for my sister who has moved away now. When I hear
the song, I think about the years that have gone by, and I wish I could
go back and show love to my father instead of behaving bad to him. I
wish I could somehow tell him how much he means to me. And I feel like
it's late now, but tomorrow I will go doing something with him; talking
to him, teaching him how to play the guitar, anything, just so he
doesn't feel like I don't love him. So he actually feels the opposite -
that I actually love him because he is and forever will be my only
daddy. And the same goes for my mom and my sister. So many young people
don't care about their parents, they don't see what parents do of nice
things to their children. Instead they just look at their phones,
updating their Facebook status, they are basically so busy growing up
that when they one day look away from their phone, their parents will be
old and lying in their bed waiting for the bitter end. If I only knew
this years ago, I wouldn't regret not spending more time with my father.
Even if your father or mother or any close relative are dead, show them love by thinking about them, every day. They must be the most beautiful angels in the world to you, so love them, even though they don't live anymore.
Firstly, thank you if you took the time to read it all through. Now throw away your phone or whatever distracts you, and go ask your parent or any other relative if they wanna go do something. I'm sure they will be glad to hear it. Do it, because time flies by so quickly that you don't even realize how fast it goes by. And suddenly, they will be gone.
