Sketch
Dregs Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Wore me
Down took your chances
Toxic clown no reaction
Hollow contrived and desperate
Plastic melting you down
Slow decline
Burn your bridge
I'll take mine
Weak pose
Nothing redeems you
Pious
Won't see you around

Suck Out shit life dude time no prize

Hopeless farce
Keep your distance
All I ask
Dickhead

I hope you choke on it
Touch me I dare you try

I absolutely loved this segment of the show. Always got high watching and then went out partying. ☮️☮️☮️😺

I had no idea Jim Henson's talent was used for SNL. It's incredible that this exists.

Jeff Wolcott

Just for the first season. Jim and the other Muppet guys didn't get along with the SNL cast.

He was worried that his successes would ‘type cast’ him and his art for children only.

Have very fond fond memories of Land of Gorch even tho I was 5 and it was waaaay over my head. Remember my dad laughing out loud at muppets - which I thought was the coolest thing ever!

@Free-lance human being The Muppets weren't originally for kids. If you don't believe me, look up the time Raquel Welch hosted.

@Pieter Willem Botha oh agreed 100%. It was his success w Sesame Street that worried him. Hence the Land of Gorch. The muppets success came later (I think the Raquel Welch episode was 1977/1978?).

Fun for the whole family 😂😂😂
