In 2006, Holcomb married his longtime friend and singing partner, Ellie Holcomb (nee Bannister), and relocated to her hometown of Nashville. The rest of the band, guitarist Nathan Dugger, bassist Rich Brinsfield, and drummer Jon Radford also lived in the same East Nashville area, hence the group name.
Their albums include "A Neighborly Christmas" (2007), "Passenger Seat" (2008), "A Million Miles Away" (2009), "Chasing Someday" (2011), "Through the Night: Live in the Studio" (2012), and "Good Light" (2013).
Avalanche
Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors Lyrics

Like something's changing, tearing down the barricade
I've been a fool with my heart, I've been a fool with my reputation
Lost in the wilderness, you were a revelation
I remember the first time I saw your face
A memory, a photograph, time cannot erase
I tried to hold it back, but I wanna make it last
Oh, I know that it's true
I never stood a chance, your love is like an avalanche
People change, we both learned that's OK
'Cause you and me baby, it looks like we found our way
If we hold on tight, we'll keep it together
What we've got will only keep getting better
Oh, what can I do
I tried to hold it back, but I wanna make it last
Oh, I know that it's true
I never stood a chance, your love is like an avalanche
I never stood a chance, your love is like an avalanche
I never stood a chance, your love is like an avalanche
The lyrics of Drew Holcomb's song "Avalanche" explore the theme of unexpected love and its overwhelming power. The opening lines of the song paint a picture of a sudden change or shift that seems to be breaking through the singer's emotional barriers. The feeling is described as if the glass might break, signifying a sense of vulnerability and fragility. The singer admits to being a fool in love in the past and losing themselves in the wilderness until they met their current love interest, who was a revelation. The first time the singer saw their love interest, it left an indelible impression that they cannot erase.
The chorus of the song expresses the singer's inability to control their feelings, admitting that they cannot hold back and want their love to last. The lyrics "your love is like an avalanche" symbolize the uncontrollable force of love that can completely sweep a person off their feet. The song celebrates the idea that even though people can change, it is okay because the singer and their love interest have found their way to each other. The lyrics suggest that if they hold on tight, their love will only continue to grow stronger.
