Wonderin'

Nobody else around
Pressed to my chest anticipating
We're dancing the final song
You're gripping my jacket strong
And it's driving me crazy
You shook me a little smile
Feeling you for a while
You know what I wanna do
I know you're into it too
You don't wanna keep your friends waiting
How can you go
When you know how much I want you baby
Round round we go
Can I act on what I'm feeling
You can say alright
You can say okay
You can't say maybe
Come back another day
You can say hell no
You can say no way
Just don't leave me wonderin
You can say alright
You can say okay
You can say anything
Just don't make me wait
For another night
For another day
Don't leave me wonderin'
So I put it out there
You're running you're fingers through my hair
Tell me what does that mean
That you got me so confused
You puttin on your shoes
And now you're grabbing you're things
How can you go
When you know how much I want you baby
Round round we go
Can I act on what I'm feeling
You can say alright
You can say okay
You can't say maybe
Come back another day
You can say hell no
You can say no way
Just don't leave me wonderin
You can say alright
You can say okay
You can say anything
Just don't make me wait
For another night
For another day
Don't leave me wonderin'
I need to know
Where will this go
It's getting old
Cause you just keep me wonderin
You can say alright
You can say okay
You can't say maybe
Come back another day
You can say hell no
You can say no way
Just don't leave me wonderin
You can say alright
You can say okay
You can say anything
Just don't make me wait
For another night
For another day
Don't leave me wonderin'
The lyrics of Drew Seeley's song 'Wonderin'' seem to be detailing a scene at the end of a party. The singer of the song is with someone they're interested in, and they're dancing to the final song. The person they're with is holding onto them, and they're feeling a smile from them as well. It seems like they're ready to make things happen, but the person they're with is hesitant. They start to get ready to leave, which frustrates the singer who is left 'wonderin'.' They want to know if the person is interested or not, and they don't want to be left in limbo.
The song details a common experience for many people who have gone out to parties and social events, especially when trying to navigate the world of dating. The singer is feeling a strong connection with someone, but it's unclear if that feeling is mutual. The chorus of the song reflects this frustration, with the singer begging the other person to simply give them an answer, no matter what the response may be.
The song paints a vivid picture of a moment in time. It's clear that there's a strong feeling of attraction between the two people involved, but there's also a sense of uncertainty and hesitation that is complicating things. Ultimately, the singer of the song is left with more questions than answers, and they're frustrated because they're not sure how to move forward.
