Columbia Records, the group recorded it's first record which spawned the singles "If This Is Love" and "Love Has No Pride" (written with Aldo Nova).
The Duo, with their band, toured extensively in europe and went on to record two more CD's for the European Label Music For Nations. Another European Label, Frontiers released the "Best Of" CD "Road To Paradise" and "Real Life" album.
Mangold- from Florida via the fertile entertainment breeding ground of New York’s Long Island--began his career as a pianist/organist with a series of rock bands, including Valhalla, a symphonic rock band that recorded for United Artists. He then did three Columbia albums with keyboard trio American Tears (showcasing his dynamic singing), which evolved into Touch, whose Atlantic Records debut had success at home and especially in Europe and Japan. In the middle I worked with Michael Bolton for quite awhile, and worked on his first two records,” Mark says. “I toured with him in his early stages, as a keyboard player--I was actually in his first video, for a song called “Fool’s Game” (written by Mark and Michael), playing keyboards.” Bolton’s first two albums count no fewer than five Bolton-Mangold compositions. He also worked as a co-writer and co-producer with hitmaker Benny Mardones and as a staff songwriter for CBS Songs and Columbia Picture’s publishing division. He is not one of those writers who has been content to let the others have the hits with his songs.
Notably, all instruments besides drums and keys are played by the amazingly multi-talented Al, who scathes on guitar, bass and keys, too boot, besides being an award-winning singer.
Can't Get Enough
Drive She Said Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Yeah, hey, yeah!
Well, I take whatever I want
And, baby, I want you
You give me something I need
Now tell me, I got something for you, yeah!
Come on, come on, come on and do it
I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love
Listen!
Well, it's late and I want love
Love that's gonna break me in two
Don't hang me up in your doorway
Don't hang me up like you do, yeah
Come on, come on, let's do it
Come on, come on, do what you do
I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love
Well, I say now!
Whoo, yeah!
Yeah!
I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love, baby
I can't get enough of your love
Lemme say it again one more time now
I can't get enough, enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love, baby
I can't get enough of your love, baby
Enough of your love
I love you so much
I just can't get enough of your love
Love you so much
I can't get enough of your love
I can't get enough of your love
Hey, yeah!
Alright
Lemme take you for a little ride
Whoo!
Mmm, yeah
Ah, baby, yeah
Ooh!
In this song, Drive She Said sings about an insatiable desire for love and how they can't get enough of it. The lyrics suggest that the singer is in love with someone who provides them with what they need and they, in turn, have something to offer back to the other person. The chorus repeats the line "I can't get enough of your love" multiple times, emphasizing the intensity of the singer's feelings.
The verses consistently allude to a sense of urgency, being up late and wanting love that will break them in two. The added plea in the second verse, "Don't hang me up like you do," may imply previous heartbreak or unrequited love. But despite the uncertainty or risk of being hurt, the singer seems to embrace the moment and wants to make the most of it.
The use of the upbeat tempo and the repeated phrases in the chorus make this song catchy, and its lyrics communicate a genuine and sincere desire for love. The song can be interpreted as a passionate sentiment that one has when in love, and the lyrics can resonate with anyone who understands that intense craving for romantic connection.
