All flows and all passes - this goes on forever
Everything in this world is transient and constantly changing and this process will continue to exist forever

Yet where does it vanish? And whence did it come?
No one knows where things go when they pass away, or from where they originate

The fool does not know, and the sage knows no better
Neither the ignorant nor the wise understand the true nature of existence

Life... Death... As here blossoms a one,
Life and death are interconnected, and as one life arises, another passes away

Another there withers, beyond a returning...
Once something dies, it cannot be brought back to life

Its yellow leaves fall to be green never more
When something dies, it cannot be revived and brought back to life again

But still the bright sun will come up in the morning,
Despite the cycles of life and death, the sun still rises every day

At nightfall the stars will come out as before
Similarly, the stars will reappear in the sky every night as they always have

To swim in the heavens, and then, gentle sisters
The moon and stars exist in the great expanse of space

You too, silver moon, will come out for a stroll,
Just like the stars, the moon appears in the sky

You'll glance as you pass into puddles and cisterns
The moon's reflection can be seen in bodies of water like puddles and wells

And sparkle the oceans, you'll shine as of old
The moon also reflects on the surface of the ocean

You shone over babylon's fabulous gardens
The moon has been a constant in human history and culture, even shining over ancient gardens

And as ages from now you will still be regarding.
The moon will still be present in the sky for generations to come

And as the blue sky overhead has no limit,
The sky is infinite and has no boundaries

There's also no start and no end to the spirit.
Similarly, the spirit is eternal and cannot be defined by time or space
